Well I haven't put that much thought into it but my reasoning is that its tracking similarly to the PS3 in 2011 and the 3DS in 2012, both of which were about 14million.

You say that now but when the time comes again you'll be tempted 
I'm gonna guess that the PS4 will hit at least 10 million by August. The Last of Us and Driveclub, assuming it releases in the Summer, should help keep PS4 sales up until September. After that, Destiny is going to be a big deal and the marketing for it is aimed at PlayStation. So, September should see a nice boost in PS4 sales. Then you have the last three months of the year. The holiday months, basically. Regardless of what Sony has coming out around that time it will still probably sell loads of consoles. I see no reason why the PS4 can't hit 15 million by the end of 2014. It has already sold about 3 million in the first quarter of the year.
Sony Computer Entertainment’s London Studio seems to be at the forefront of development for Sony’s virtual reality headset Project Morpheus, as mentioned in a career opportunity ad published today by SCEE, seeking a Sound Designer.
The WWS Creative Services Group (CSG) is a centralised resource providing sound, music, programming, video, motion graphics and graphic design services to Sony’s Worldwide Studios.
We are looking for an experienced Sound Designer to work with CSG’s London audio team on a project for Project Morpheus. The position is in-house, based at SCEEs London Studio.
The ad also stresses that the candidate will have the responsibility of creating “high-quality audio content” for the project. Between the desirable skills AAA development background and experience with Unity are also mentioned, indicating that the project is being made using the indie-favorite engine.
London Studio already impressed at the Game Developers Conference with the tech demo The Deep, and it’s unclear if this project is an expansion of said demo, maybe turning it into a full game, or something entirely new.
In other news SCE London also posted another hand seeking a Senior Environment Artist to work on creeating environment and prop assets “with a predefined art style” on “next generation PS4 titles,” but that’s probably related to a different project.

I think it's goint to be neck and neck. Even if one wins it wont be by enough to really matter.
