Well, that sucks, but there's a reason that specific title gets canceled. Nobody cancels a new, big, good IP for a new platform (PS4) which is doing excelent.

That's the one thing I love about new IPs, I don't know what it was so I don't give a damn, just a shame that money and 3 years were wasted. If that would be GoW that got cancelled, fuck I would be devastated

It is disappointing  and I'm disappointed with Sony, but I fully believe the game was just not turning out good.  It was rumored to be a FPS, and that is just not something that is likely to be good coming from SSM.  

What I'm thinking:  SSM is still around 190 people and are likely still hiring some new people.  A new God of War is coming no matter what.  There was always likely to be a new one.  Now I think Barlog was brought in to revitalize it and take it back to the greatness is was in God of War 2(though GoW 3 is still amazing).  So stig's game gets cancelled and 50 from the team get laid off.  The rest go into Barlog's team to start ramping up into full production for new GoW soon.  If stig is still there, though I'm not sure as he might have left on his own, but if he is still there then he could quite possibly be a lead with someone else on another new IP as well that could either be in very early preproduction or fairly far into full production.  

No matter I fully believe right now that SSM still has 2 games.  New GoW and a new IP. 

Stig's game was in development for 4 years and we still haven't seen a picture of it., which means the game was at least 2 years away. You can't have a game taking 1 generation to ship.

I bought it almost 2 years ago on Xbox 360 pretty fun game for a hour or two...   Better play Dead Nation it is for free and it will last longer.

Something massive had to have went wrong for them to cancel it though.  Rumors that it was already set for E3 reveal and apparently development was going smoothly according to shinobi on twitter.  Very very disappointing right now!  Also just read that it might have went over it's budget and it was too much like destiny which may be why it was cancelled.  Will probably never really know, but good news is it seems there is still a new IP + GoW that is coming.
