i hope they make a new Sci-Fi FPS shooter instead of killzone. something with mechs or jetpacks like in KZ3 (not titanfall). or other vehicles like jets, helicopts and such. and let it have a more open world approach than Killzone (even more open than KZ:SF).  an open world Sci-Fi FPS in the style of killzone would be awesome. im thinking Killzone x Farcry, idk, im rambling! 


Not a big fan of open world games so you won't sell me on it  

Also we have a lot of SciFi shooters as it is, with two new (Destiny and TF) right around the corner. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the 3 CoDs goes with a SciFi theme as well. It's beginning to be a crowded and generic market.


i dont care if a game is open world or not, for example, i like Uncharted but i also love farcry. if a game is good then ill most likely like it. we are already getting uncharted and The Order, so those will take care of my linear story driven needs, now i want other stuff as well :P 

im SO interested to see what their new IP is. just for refrence, 2.5 years was the dev time for KZ:SF, this new IP has 2.5 years and it still isnt even announced!.

Yeah no doubt seems like an ambitious project. I also am eager to find out what are they cooking in Amsterdam, not to mention other big Sony studios for the record :-/

Sony Computer Entertainment has been keeping the lid on its work-in-progress PS4 projects and upcoming announcements, and we still don’t know what many of the teams working for the house of PlayStation are currently working on. NeoGAF user and insider DemonNite, who is known to work for Sony even if his identity is a well-kept secret, provided more information and teasing about what’s happening behind closed doors:

First of all, he mentioned that morale is high internally, and everyone has high hopes for the new generation:

I think the future looks great. Everyone is happy and all have high hopes about the new generation : D

Another NeoGAF user listed the announcements he’d like to see at E3 and at Tokyo Game Show:

  • Deep Down further push
  • Sony Santa Monica new IP
  • Guerilla new IP / some new IP from Japan
  • Naughty Dog Uncharted further reveal
  • Driveclub reintroduction
  • Sony Bend / Sony London some reveal
  • Some more details on The Order 1886
  • More details on some of the smaller games such as Rime/Shadow of the Beast.

The user also specified: “I’ll be okay with 1 maybe 2 missing out but no less than 6 of those 8 options.”

DemonNite quoted the list above and answered:

I dont know the final lineup, but leading up to E3 and perhaps at E3, there is a good chance you’ll be happy.

While the answer was teasing and somewhat cryptic, it was also quite promising. After that, he moved on to give further info on just how many studios are working on the console:

That’s a tough one to answer by me. There are MANY teams from the development side alone. Most (all?) studios will have at least another team doing something right now away from the main team. Larger studios will have more than that. One studio for example has 5+ teams on PS4 : )

He then specified that he’s talking only about the western arms of the company:

I wasn’t talking about Japan (not to say they also don’t have a few teams internally on the development side). As I said… many are on PS4 right now so putting a number on it is difficult at best : )

its first party, it isnt japanese (its a western dev) and i would say its Sony Santa Monica, he probably included the teams working with indie devs. or the-3.14-guy says maybe its London Studio.

Yeah SSM seems like the best bet.  I thought they only had 1 small team for indies, but maybe they have 2.  And then another 3 teams working on huge AAA games.  I hope Cory Barlog is doing a God of War reboot that will blow everyone away.

NO!!! why on earth would you hope that? when he said he is forming an "oceans 11" kind of team you sure hope they would try to make something new?! i doubt they are 3 AAA teams and i sure hope Cory barlogs game is an AAA game. but i want new IP's from SSM. the only IP i really want Sony to continue is Uncharted and they are doing that, im not sure if i want them to make another one after that as well. (and yes, i would prefer a new IP over TLoU!!)

YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!  People have to be naive to think SSM won't do another GOW if they think it has more life in it and it certainly does, but it has to be something totally different and mindblowing but still have that GOWness to it.  If it's just like the other games with just a new character and setting I will be disappointed.  They need to innovate the hack 'n slash genre.  Though either way I would totally be down for 2-3 new IP's from SSM this gen!!

I think Uncharted 4 will be the last uncharted and then that team will go to a new IP.  I bet Neil and bruce will do a TLOU sequel.  They are a kickass team so they can totally do it and have the same impact the first made.  But I would totally go for a new IP.  I do not want them to go back to JAK!!  They are way beyond those games as of now.
