Continuing on with VR,  there is a prototype called the Avegant Virtual Retina Display.  http://reviews.cnet.com/wearable-tech/avegant-virtual-retinal-display/4505-34900_7-35828603.html

What it does is shoot the image straight into the users retina.

If they announce a VR set i will go straight to the store and order one lol I believe one is in the works, i just hope its sooner rather than later.

Same.  I would be on that shit within minutes of them announcing it.   If they do announce it at CES I hope it's close to a release date.  Would love for holiday 2014 with Uncharted and The Order support.  With Infamous, driveclub and other game support coming.  And get some indie games help with getting their games running and get 3rd parties on board and boom success.

According to some. He's a Hack

ill cum. yup, i said it! however it will be interesting situation for me, there would be the Sony VR and OR. i got a strong gaming PC and will get a PS4. i dont see a need to get both VR headsets so i will have to chose. i prefer console gaming because i can sit on a cough and just relaxe more than on PC. but with the VR i can sit where ever i want (XBox controller in hand). BUT i wont be able to play PS exclusives with OR even though it might be the better VR headset. it will be a tough choice, i gotta wait and see what both headsets have to offer. however, i am REALLY hoping that by the end of the year i will be playing games in VR

also, whats the chance of OR being able to connect to PS4?

^^ interesting. what about the possibility of the VR having processing power inside the headset its self? could that even work?

i wonder if that could have some side effects. i mean, thats literally the closest anything has come to "getting inside of your mind". i wonder how the mind would process such a thing.

Well its essentially the same as anything else. It would just be shooting the light into your eye for your eye to process the image into what is to be displayed. At least that's what I assume.  though it probably would be weird taking it off and looking at things normally again.  I wonder if you would have some sort of phantom image where what you were playing is still overlayed on top of what you are looking at in real life. Like when you look at the sun and look away
