well, that's odd. i was expecting more because it was really successful in NA, and the reactions to Persona 4 i have read on german websites were also very great. so i was kind of overwhelmed. although its just one or two days counted, 4k just feels kind of too low.

Actually, looking at the database entry for Persona 4 Golden, they haven't tracked any sales in Germany or France.  There are 2700 sales in the UK and 1300 sales from somewhere else in Europe.

So it kinda looks like it just has 1 day worth of sales from the UK + 1 day worth of sales from other places in Europe.  Keep an eye on the chart next week to see where the sales are at; and have a look in the France/Germany charts to see if it's included.

4,000 units of Persona 4 in the EU's first week? You kidding me?

It only released on 22nd or 23rd I think.  So either 1 or 2 days worth of sales.  Wait until next week's chart before judging.

With that said, don't expect them to be great either.  Persona has never really done much in Europe.  P3P on PSP sold 30k physical according to our numbers.

Almost every games releases with 1 or 2 days first week in Europe.

Edit - I see you said it is lacking German and France data... vgc is weird this times...no longer seems to care... weel I don't expect good sales for Person 4.

maybe these colours of red/blue are holding it up a little for PS3,i saw a white god of war PS3 with a gold controller today,we are suddenly spoilt for choices

if i had more cash i'd get onne of these colours,i think i will only buy another if mine breaks now

What's up with 3DS in America's? I think something is understracked. Fire Emblem had 170,000 pre-orders and only opened up to 200,000 sales, now crawling to 300,000 in Americas.

20,000 systems a week is half of what it did before the major adjustment a couple weeks back, and it's half of what it did in 2012 for the equivalent week. How are 3DS sales down Year on Year?

Don't pay much attention to the pre-order chart, is the long and short of the answer to this.  It's notoriously bad at the best of times, but even worse at tracking pre-orders of niche genres (such as JRPG's).

I presume the current sales trend is because of January's NPD numbers.  We'll be getting the February figures in about a week, so just wait until then to see if we've been undertracking or not.  I suspect Fire Emblem might end up being overtracked like Ni No Kuni was, but we'll see.

How can it possibly be overtracked. We don't even have its massive digital sales. If anything fire emblem is 200k or so undertracked

We don't track digital sales, so I don't really understand your comment.

You think 200,000 more physical copies of Fire Emblem were sold in North America & Europe than we are tracking here?  If so... okay.

I'm not an idiot I know we don't track digital sales. But you are acting as if the game hasn't pushed systems or hasn't sold well and is overtracked.

Yeah, and that's what I said in my post... we'll see how well it has done once NPD gets here :P

Maybe you're right and it'll be horrifically undertracked.  But given a likely under-shipment from Nintendo combined with traditional overtracking of JRPG's by VGChartz, I suspect our numbers will be higher than NPD.
