So the MS fanbase is full of casuals because they have a large COD community last time i checked COD games were the best selling games on both consoles.

America's leading brand switched nearly every gen:

Nintendo NES -> Sega Genesis -> Sony PlayStation -> Sony PlayStation 2 -> Wii (soon Xbox 360) -> ?

There's no guarantee MS will lead with the 720.

Sure they have the momentum but they will definitely lose it if they screw up.

In NA, while the Sega Genesis was successful, it was the SNES that won. So you have Nintendo with back to back wins. Then Sony with back to back wins. I have a feeling history will repeat itself.

yep every MS fan is casual, those were my words lol. i was just saying MS have alot more casual gamers than ps3, yes CoD sells nearly aswell on ps3 however from my expirience i see alot more casual gamers who only play CoD or sports games on 360 than i do on ps3

It's true that xbox had huge success this gen and it did much better than Playstation, but just because it was the "underdog" and outsold the market leader doesn't make it "domination" they're very close in sales. Other than that I agree that most users won't switch from xbox unless Microsoft really screw up.

Now that's a good point.

Why do you consider SNES the winner, though? At least according to VGchartz, Genesis won (even if barely).

I look at it like this, you bet someone you can beat them in doing 6 laps of the running track, you get a whole lap head start, but in the end it's a photo finish - how are you in a position, at all, to claim you were ever really winning?

Let's not forget that due to the RROD, they probably only have about 60% of there shipped consoles actually still working. I have owned 3 over the years and will not make that mistake again...

Don't forget that due to YLOD the PS3 has about 20% of its shipped consoles actually still working.
