I really enjoyed the conference and what we saw, also knowing there will be more for E3 is awesome. A friend of mine who is just as passionate as me about video games loved it too, he got his phone fixed the other day (we go to different colleges) and I spoke to him and we just nerdgasmed about it together for awhile lmao.
Seriously though, I think most people think the conference was good-great. A lot of people saying they didn't like are people that wouldn't have liked it anyway. People that have a hatred for Sony regardless of what Sony does. Sony could have cured cancer on that stage and there would still be people somehow finding ways to disregard it.
IGN really seemed to like it. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/22/sony-exclusives-the-playstation-4s-early-trump-card
Also take a look at this.

It's not all hate, it's just a bunch of people (some fans and authors alike) nitpicking anything they can to downplay the PS4. Oh my, they didn't show the console *egasp*! Because the specs aren't more important right?

1 Playsation to rule them all.
Personally I liked how Sony handled the event. They showed enough to position the PS4 in our minds and get everyone to talk about it - including the doubters. It's too soon to show too much, especially since we have PS3 exclusives coming out soon. Plus, I saw an interview with Kaz on the BBC a few minutes ago and he hinted that we have a lot more to see about the system in the coming weeks/months. He didn't even count the event as a launch, just a set up to inform the public of the PS4. :)
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Ohh can I get a link please, I want to see some Kaaaaaz!

The show was amazing in that there were no fuck-ups at all.
They didn't fuck with the controller design.
They didn't fuck with the console's name and numbering.
There was no giant enemy crab, hit weak spot for massive or riiiiiiiiiiiiidge racer.
The fact that there are no memes/virals mocking the PS4 is a GREAT thing. Everyone is shitting their pants on how powerful it is and more importantly, talking about it.
The reveals, megatons will come at E3, be assured.

In true internet tradition, I'm going to ignore all of the good points made in this article and focus on the one thing that rubbed me the wrong way. The comparison made between the "A New Dawn" Demo and David Cage's sad old man demo is not a fair one. A New Dawn clearly has a hell of a lot more going on, from lighting, to environments, to beautiful moving, tesslated hair, and it looks damned gorgeous while doing it. Meanwhile Cage's demo was... a head. Just a head. With nonspectacular hair. ;)
Other than that, great article.

Hey! I saw it on TV on Asia Business Report (BBC). Can't find it online. :/ He was talking about the Xperia and PS4.

haha okay fair enough. Perhaps we'll see an article or two pop up about it sometime soon.

Author really needs to learn to break things into paragraph. I just god wall-o-texted.
So, I just watched a video of Crysis 3 running side by side on X-Box 360 and PC at max settings. Was there a difference in graphics? Yeah, absolutely. A clearly noticeable one. Suppose someone offered me a console that could play the PC version for 400 dollars. Would I buy it? Absolutely not. The boost in graphics is simply not worthwhile enough for me. Maybe others feel differently. And that's also how I felt watching the Sony conference. Did Killzone look great? Yeah. Great enough to make me buy a new console?
No. Beyond all the technical blah blah blah, you have to look at what we actually saw. I don't play specs, I don't play tech demos, and I don't play potential. To be excited about a system, I have to be excited about what games I'll be playing on it. What games were shown that were really exciting? To me, nothing really.

Yes there was, they just haven't been materialized as memes yet.
