Meryl Streep !

The envelope was still closed when she left the stage (????)

I love Jennifer Lawrence, but she didn't deserve best actress. They are really trying to build her career and turn her into a international superstar.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I really liked her in that role. To be honest though, I haven't watched any of the other movies nominated. :/

I love her, and she was amazing in Winters Bone, but this wasn't the movie she should have recieved it for. Like I said above I feel like they are trying to build a superstar out of her since there really aren't any younmg Julia Roberts/Cameron Diaz types these days. Hopefully they don't ruin her career with this. In Hollywood those who rise fast usually end up hated by the public in the end.

She didn't have to open it, it was obviously going to say Daniel Day inside.

I'll post the honest Poster for 2012's Oscar Nominees

Daniel Day-Lewis is the male version of Meryl Streep.  If either of them are nominated, everybody else in the category is a longshot.

Odds are he'll do some smaller film that will come out in 2 years.  Then 5 years from now he'll come back with another Oscar victory.

He's "retired" so many times :)

I'm just glad he keeps coming back. One of the greatest living actors -- if not THE greatest -- and a top ten actor of all time.

Haven't seen any of the movies that got nominated but I thought it was a very good show and Seth McFarlane did a really good job hosting. Jimmy Kimmel's Oscar special after the Oscars with Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum was also very funny.
