You know several users..some who are actual developers or has a very good track record when it comes to info leaks over at gaf have said that the anti used stuff is true for the nextbox. I hope after seeing Sony focusing on the gamers so much at the reveal and because they are not going the no used route, ms changes their minds. It's just not good for gamers in general

I can't believe that, it doesn't make any sense.  It's bad business.  It wouldn't even benefit Microsoft that much.  Better to leave things like that up to the publishers themselves and let them take their own risks.  It wouldn't kill the Xbox by any means but it would definitely cost them some customers.

I totally agree with Tretton. Playstation to me has always focused on gaming and anything else second, i'm glad he reaffirms that opinion. Also I like how he said he would rather not comment on Microsofts plan, instead of attacking it.

Games first and foremost is the most important mindset to have as a gamer.

If they were at 77m shipped, wouldn't they have announced that they'd passed xbox?

naw it's shipped. PS3 will likely outship 360 by yr.'s end, but all these guys always speak in terms of shipped, and not sold. they just say sold.

that doesn't mean we're not undertracking PS3, but we'll never do it by near 5m units.

Hmmm, so Sony may confirm they have passed the 360 in their FY 2012 Q4 report. Some people thought it would take until Q3 2013, at least, myself included. It would be awesome if it happens before the new consoles release.

I guess it would mean bigger profit margins for them. But yea I hope it's not true
