art style wise it would up to preferences

technical stand point..don't think this is much of a competition :P

You know a better comparison would have been X vs Second Son. Two Open world games

People were saying that looked like CGI (even though it was in-game) so that would not have been fair I think. Plus, it didn't show off large environments like KZ did

But as you can see people will say it's not a fair comparison since it's a FPS vs open world :P But yea can't do much until we get gameplay footage for games like Second Son, Witcher 3 etc. Will blow away X visuals rather easily

Both have different Art Styles it seems, but the obvious answer is KillZone, though it is a lot more boring and dull. And there is a difference in how they are presented.

Actually come to think of it, they look pretty close now that you've put them side by side. Obviously Killzone is better graphically, especially if that entire city is in real time, that REALLY impressive. I'm sure it's more a matter of Killzone having much better draw distances and able to render far more on screen at once. But judging from these screens alone, X doesn't look too far off. Not sure why the Wii U is getting a bad rap in terms of graphics. I do agree with others that they lost some of the vibrant colors Xenoblade had, and seem to be falling vitcim to the staple grey and brown color palate of HD games.

But yeah, I think it's clear that the Wii U's difference from PS4 in graphics isn't going to be to the extent Wii was from PS3.

I spent way too long looking for your comment. At least I found it.

I think this is an interesting question. Does one look a gen ahead of the other, do they look similarly amazing or what?

X compared to xenoblade looks much more like a generational leap ,thus giving X its WOW factor, than Killzone shadowfall compared to killzone 3. But of course Killzone Shadowfall looks better overall, just not wii to ps3 better, closer to ps2 to xbox IMHO

Really? I love the futuristic design and the contrasting cities. Seems to have a more interesting, striking colour palette in comparison as well.

OT: A linear Wii U game would be fair to compare to KZ, as others have said.

It surely has a better color palette than most FPS games but I don't see it as striking (color-wise).

Wouldn't even say that those games are good games to compare it to either.  Second Son will be a Sandbox game and Witcher being a WRPG. I'd say we should wait for E3 to see what new games will be offered up there for a real fair comparison. Might even have to wait for TGS but I doubt they will wait so close to a release to announce some JRPGs..

Well it would be fairer to compare them on a technical level I think. It still won't be much of a competition tho. I mean the Second Son video we saw was in engine! That game is gonna look crazzy. But if it's going to be a very good comparison yea a JRPG with similar art style would do just the trick

There were some posters at gaf saying versus has gone to PS4 now. one guy even bet his user account on it...so who knows :) I mean SE did say they have a new FF for us at E3. My guess is that Versus is now FF15

The Last Guardian was confirmed to be on PS4 as well by an ex SCE employee. That would one heck of a visual treat as well

of course Killzone is graphically superior to anything on WiiU present or future, the problem is the X is probably game worth 200$ Killzone is bargain bin trash wit excellent graphics.

X is, imo, the best looking WiiU game we've seen. So I don't know if a linear game would be fairer. Which game do you suggest?

ZombiU? Wii U lead platform, launch game (like KZ), first person perspective, and linear.
