For me I was considering picking up a WiiU sometime this year now after the announcement the WiiU just doesn't seem very good anymore. So the ps4 will be the console I buy this year, And ill pick up a WiiU some time a few years from now.

Getting it at launch and I couldn't be more excited. This will be my first launch system (hopefully its reliable with that basic PC architecture) and I'll probably be getting Watch Dogs, Killzone (if available), Infamous (if available), and possibly Diablo (depending on connection to PC and PS3 version since my friends probably won't have PS4 at launch.

I prefer shooters with either wiimote or mouse, and the best looking game of the presentation was a shooter. I was hoping for some kind of gameplay innovation to grab my attention. Since I can play shooters on PC with comparable graphics and my preferred control scheme for cheaper, there's no point in me getting a PS4 at or near launch. In a few years, I'm sure there will be some exclusives + cheaper price that might make it a more appealing purchase for me.
It didn't impress me either. More graphics didn't move me, neither do I want my facebook friends to see I'm a video game nerd. Moreover, why the hell would I want my friends taking over my game and beating it for me? Don't even get me started on no backward compatibility with PS3.
Before the press event I was expecting to get a PS4 at launch, but what I saw yesterday has changed my mind. Let's hope they show games, release dates, and the all important price at E3.
Right now I think I'll pick up a PS4 a few months after launch when the value bundle (like the US Wii ZombiU bundle) is released.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

LMAO! XD
In FFXIV perhaps??
PS4 is nothing but customized mid range PC in the same fashion as original XBOX was, there is nothing special, anyone can build PS4 just buy custom PC in HTPC form factor with superior capabilities. It's as easy, i thing SteamBox if done properly can wipe floor with PS4.

How many games take full advantage of a powerful PC? Crisis, and maybe Star Citizen. Not many right?
PS4 has an O/S that is similar to a PC, and Blizzard supporting them.
Now Steambox. Its suppose to be a PC for the living room. Isn't that exactly what a console is for?
