I don't care what the hardware looks like. Just because I have a picture of a PS3 doesn't mean I care about the look of it. Maybe I enjoy the games it offers? Maybe I enjoy the content it has? I didn't write the article nor did I choose the title. I think the people complaining about the hardware not being shown are the ones who need to grow up. 

Making a thread cursing and ridiculing peoples opinions is somehow a rolemodel now?

Its not him who wrote the article. Plus even if he has a picture of a PS3, I don't see why he can't argue against people being overobssesed with looks.

I agree that the wording of the article title is harsh, but I think the point of the article is how people managed to gloss over all the things Sony showed in the conference and start complaining about something that is pretty much self explanatory and a non-issue. The PS4 is just a box.

We could rejoice at something new coming into the industry, but no. People complained when the Wii U was announced and immediately started doom and glooming. Now the negativity has returned for PS4. Maybe it is okay for others to see so much negativity, but it makes me sad.

I haven't seen this insane "rage" the article is talking about, but I do see people disappointed that the console wasn't shown. I think this article is making it out to be a much bigger deal than the situation really is.

I think people are making it out to be a much bigger deal that it actually is.

Kind of like some people bitching about the Wii U not having an ethernet port yet it has a ~15 dollar USB - ethernet accessory available.

They wanted us to focus on the inside of the machine. A nice design is not nearly as impressive as powerful specs. Plus, he's right. It's gonna be a black box, what the fuck is the big deal?

Let's focus on the pros and cons of what was announced, let's debate that. Sony has been pretty conservative with their Playstation model designs so that's what I'm expecting.
