The ps4 could look like a banana for all I care, I just wanna have the console already :D

I would rather have the box! Just my take.

Looked nice, time for them to unveil it's download only. Thats what I'm hearing.

PANICK TIME!!!

Cept when Yoshida confirmed that the PS4 won't block used games he also basically confirmed it won't be donwload only.

From Eurogamer: I think, if you buy something on a disc, that you have a kind of moral contract with the person you've bought it from that you retain some of that value and you can pass it on.

Do you agree, I asked?

"Yes. That's the general expectation by consumers," said Yoshida. "They purchase physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that's my expectation."

But isn't the controller the actual console? Sony innovates for once?

So these games were shown playing on a top end PC and when people see the games on the actual PS4 it will be like the Colonial marines demo/actual game again!

The games were being played on dev kits, so essentially PCs with the same specs as what the PS4 will have.

I think it's pretty obvious why Sony didn't even show an empty plastic case - because they wanted some surprises for E3. It's like a game of chess with MS. So, if MS do something similar before E3 they have a dilemma. If they show their physical 720, Sony has something more to show at E3. If MS wait until E3, from Sony's point of view, they have something with real substance to counteract it.

remember, Sony did give the main specs. We just don't know what the unit looks like. We know the controller and the setup with the stereo camera. We learned a lot about games etc.

But I guess Sony could have been smarter with how they handled it. Maybe something like my friends said:

I do think Sony should have mentioned something like ‘We know you want to see it, but you will have to wait as today is about the games and new services”

Well, that was weird. We got a console reveal without Sony actually revealing the console. It's left a lot of people confused, maybe even concerned, so given the chance we had to ask: where was the PS4?

"Why do you care?" jokes Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony's Worldwide Studios.

Pressed as to what we should be reading into when we get a console reveal without the reveal of the console itself, Yoshida tells Kotaku "It was almost the other way around. When we planned for this event, obviously we discussed what we should show and talk about."

"As far as the DualShock 4 is concerned we wanted to do the live demo. And we were like, yeah, we have to show the controller, because it's awkward not to show the controller when someone is doing a demo. And also the feature that the DualShock 4 has, the share button, is a very key idea behind the design of the PS4... We really wanted to explain what we've done with the DualShock 4, but as far as the system itself we have to keep something new for later. Otherwise you'd get bored."

he is a boss !!!

So console is not ready yet. As easy as this. Really, I don't want to downplay PS4 but I have to remember E3 2005. Hopefully they deliver what they showed because this was quite impressive.
