Having grown up with so many fond memories of the company, I still find myself - some small part of me - being excited for what may come. But it's getting very hard.

I got REALLY excited when they said "one more thing" then Squeenix reminded us why we all think they are stupid...

Oh well, I am sure something will come from them eventually

Absolute garbage, and an epic fail Square Enix. Bungie a former Microsoft exclusive developer stepped up and showed their latest game, Blizzard stepped up and said Diablo 3 was coming.

Every developer there had at least something new or interesting to say, except Square Enix.

Sony must have agreed to let Square be in the conference, because they want to be in good terms with them.

That is the only explanation I can find.

I was thinking the same thing last night. Square Enix are assholes, yes, but you don't want give them a reason to give competitors an advantage by neglecting them just in case they do eventually produce a AAA game.
