As of right now, I don't see a single PS4 game that needs so much in the graphics department, or requires such for gameplay purposes. Down the line it will be a severe problem though.

Even if they did since both console are based off of simular Radeon tech, the graphics are scalable, if they weren't PC gaming wouldn't have never took off again.

I can see multiplats becoming a problem for Wii U down the line... But if the games are scalable and Wii U doesn't receive gimped ports (like Wii) it should do pretty well...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I'm sure it is possible. The architecture of the PS4 and WiiU are pretty similar (focus on GPU), so I think the difference between the games will be like High settings to Mid settings.

The graphic is the least troubling aspect in this case.

Take the KZ gameplay from yesterday's event: I saw nothing that could not indeed be dialed back to a GPU like the WIIU's.

But the WIIU architecture suffers of lack of memory, bandwidth issues, lack of storage space and especially CPU grunt when compared to PS4 or leaked Durango specs.

Open world split-screen driving / action / RPG games? Big scale physics in destructible and reactive environments? Scenes with hundreds of reasonably smart IA agents? Fluid dynamics for dragon breath partailly flowing around obstacles and shields? (yes, I really liked that trailer and I hope they can fulfill that in-game)

WIIU will have trouble keeping up in these cases whereas the other two are at least in the same ballpark, and we'll have to see how much the developers are willing to compromise adn/or optimise for its limitations.

TBH i don't think it would matter is WiiU was less, equal or 100x more powerful then PS4, 3rd parties will still not support it.

The quicker Nintendo realises this the quicker they can start working towards making their own franchises.

If I look at the Sales figures of Assassin's Creed 3 and Call of Duty on the Wii U I wonder how the sales figures on the Wii U would be, if third party games where availabla on all platforms.

I mean, 160k and 110k for two of the best selling franchises of this generation. It is not like the Wii U crowd is very interested in most core third party support. As a comparison, on the Vita, who is also struggling saleswise, Assassin's Creed and CoD sold 600k despite bad reviews and the "console style games on a handheld" discussion.

And what about Mass Effect 3?Around 40k sold. I really wonder how Assassin's Creed 2 or Final Fantasy XIII would have sold on the Wii if there would have been a Wii version?

I say yes, only because the higher specs mean higher dev costs. Im sure devs will want their games on every system possible to maximize their profits. Only snag would be if it is costly to tweak the WiiU version of the game, but as ive been reading recently some devs are basing their WiiU ports on PC versions of the game, so that can only be a good thing.

To be honest, we really still dont know how capable the WiiU is (even now its power is only based on speculation from a chip die) we know it is customized, so maybe it might be more capable than we think. However it may also be lagging behind further than we think..time will tell.

I think it has an excellent chance at getting third party support. Maybe not as much as the overpowered consoles but definitely more than what Nintendo has gotten in the past. The fact that the WiiU can produce HD games is more than enough reason for third party support. I believe the WiiU can even have games play in 1080p, 60fps, am I right? All Nintendo needs to do is release their games. That will in turn increase the user base. And that should have other third party support be released as well.

Nintendo is good. And Nintendo should not be worried. That's what I think.

Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)

Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U

Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY

Nintendo should focus more on 3rd party exclusives, even resurrect some old ips and outsource them. U must have the "u"nique experience, & Nintendo will have to dig in to its big bank to make it happen. Nintendo claims power don't matter, games do, well make it happen or the more aggressive MSony will eat that azz for lunch.
