It's not the Helghast and ISA. This is the description of the game... Set thirty years after the events of the Killzone trilogy, the world of Killzone Shadow Fall is a very different place. Forced together by circumstance, the two rival factions of the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall. |
How did they build that city so complete and fancy and clean looking in just 30 years?

They've been repeating their diminishing returns rhetoric for so long that it'll take them a while to adjust to reality.

Killzone will be a #PS4 launch title, Guerrilla has told CVG
Know what would also be fun? If the footage we saw was built on the old PS4 spec sheet before they doubled the RAM to 8GB. just a thought.

Yes but where did the blue people come from?
Yeah, I'll be on the midnight launch day line.
All of this, of course, is just my opinion.
Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

I didn't find it that impressive. At first I did, but then I realized the tricks they played to make it seem better.
You start out in a chopper and see this insane huge world and great big city and draw distance. But then you get on the ground and as soon as the fighting starts the entire world becomes covered in dust and smoke and you can't see further than a half a block away. All the things that made it so impressive dissapeared in a second and was hidden behind "were under attack and explosions cause dust, thus restrict our view" It's all believable, but that's what makes the trick easy to miss.
Then again it tricks you when you go on the helicopter ride, with "omg look at this huge draw distance for a game I'm actually moving" BUT, its essentially a cutscene with limited movement where you can look around. Yes you shoot a couple people on the helicopter. But i doubt you can see other people say on buldings or the ground and shoot them or they shoot you. I expect the exact same explosions and what not to happen every time you in the helicopter and the enemy to appear the same every time on the helicopter.
Now I'm not faulting the game for this and think they did a fine job. i'm just not giving the game more credit than it deserves.
edit: The visuals looked great, the graphics, characters, guns, ect all looked great and improved over last killzone. Just saying that the huge "wow" factor of the draw distance was a trick.

Slow down there, fella, I wouldn't go that far! |
I would say damn close. If its not quite there it falls barely short of it. I was honestly super impressed with the demo
Not sure if I'd put it up there with Crysis 3 on Ultra, but it definitely looks nice.
