This is exactly right! As generations progress, a VISUAL improvement would require a much higer exponential in improvement than what technology can do. Finer improvements become less discernable to the eye, and look like only minor improvements compared to the effort needed to generate them.
On a lighter note, how many wrinkly old guys did we need to see in the graphics demos?

epic said ps4 is huge leap over ps3
|
They HAVE to say that, because as I said, this was a pitch to the investors. Sony wouldn't be happy if people came up saying "Well it's a leap above the PS3, but nowhere near the leap we got from the PS2 to PS3...."
|
Yeah, epic a independant company needs to say something about Ps4's specs so investors will support Ps4 even though epic gets nothing... go learn something
|
Epic gets nothing.....only a buttload of publicity towards their next release at Sony's expense.
How about you learn a little something. Let me give you an example of why you're wrong:
the guy who talked about the racing game, Race Club I believe the name was..he mentioned that he had to wait for the right hardware before his vision could be made. HOW did the PS4 (or ANYTIHNG related, such as internet technologies) change in the 10 years since he came up with the concept that made this idea invalid for the PS3/360? The answer? Nothing! So why did he say it in a way that his project wouldn't have gone ahead if it wasn't for the PS4 prototype? Figure it out, and don't be blind!
