There was no big surprise. No reason to buy PS4 other than: It has better graphics than PS3.

Disappointing in my opinion. But perhaps E3 will show more.

So exclusive games arent a reason? Share button isnt a reason?

It was nothing but a big begging session to investors by Sony and game developers "Oh we REALLLLY need this system, because it can do so much. Please give us money!"

Notice how no final specs were announced?
Notice how no price was announced?
Notice how no release date was announced?
Notice how no hardware was shown?
Speakers talked that this software was running on prototype hardware.

This is PROOF that Sony is in deep trouble and requires investor support to even get the PS4 off the ground.

The ps4 will be fine, the WiiU on the other hand.......

Nobody would buy a new system with a new button in mind, no matter what it did....

Yes it was good

Killzone showed the PS4 is on a level with Crysis 3 maxed out on PC  or even above as it looked like.

The PS4 is true NextGen and ONLY the PS4 starts NextGen.
3rd Party will be fun if you are not on PS4 or at least NextBox.

Sony did a good job. They showed off some impressive games. While it was the most mind blowing display, but it was definitely solid.

I'm an advocate for motion controls, Nintendo, and Kicking freaking Toad to the Moon!

3DS Friend Code - 0860-3269-1286

I was more than pleased. They did just what I wanted them to do. Show enough of the system to get some interest and mind share, but not so much to overshadow the PS3 titles this year. I expect more little by little throughout the year. The potential and the 8GB ram definitely got me. I was planning on getting a Wii U later in the year (Black Friday deal), but fuck that if Sony brings the goods I'll get it during the holiday period and get Wii U when Smash Bros. comes out.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Yes. Now at e3 announce the price so we can stop this $599 bullshit.

Hold your horses, the rumored prices are $429 and $529, which is still expensive.

Underwhelming, but that's probably because I was over-hyped for it anyway.

Like I said in the other thread, I really liked that they put the focus on the developers and the games. That is, of course, why I am a gamer.

I also thought acknowledging the architecture mistakes in the PS3 early on was an incredibly clever move, to be honest.

High points included seeing Infamous & Knack from Sony; plus having Blizzard on stage and hearing about Destiny.

All in all, I agree with Axum, about an 8/10. I am certainly looking forward what they bring to E3.

P.S. Cannot believe Square Enix trolled me like that. First announcing they have something to show... Agni's Philosophy again. But wait, they've got something else to say! ... wait for E3.

Seriously. TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH VERSUS XIII.

Their showing just didn't do it for me. I don't know, I suppose if you're into the sort of stuff they showed, you'd like it. But for me, the games didn't look like anything new. I mean graphically, sure they looked great, but if we're talking from a pure GAMEPLAY standpoint, it just looks like the same old formula we've seen countless times. Shooters, racers, and more shooters.

If this is what gamers consider mind blowing these days and this is the supposed standard, maybe it's time for me to find a new hobby.

inFamous Second Son and Deep Down aren't shooters -.-
