Forums - Sony - Your thoughts on the PS meeting?

The Media Molecule rock band thing was my least favorite part (and I love MM and LBP), but Killzone, Infamous, Destiny, BLIZZARD!!!!!!, Watch Dogs, and Deep Pool or whatever that Capcom game was were amazing.

Probably the best unveiling of a console I've ever seen. A huge improvement over the PS3 and they did a much better job than Nintendo did with the WiiU. I'm very excited for the console.

yeah I liked the layout.  40 minutes for specs and gaikai and development ideas of the system (love how dev friendly it is and 8gb of the fast RAM is unexpected and amazing) then straight to Killzone and didn't let up for the rest of the conference.

getting first day 100%. they are probably saving quite a lot for e3

They made the mistake to only show graphics as the biggest interesting new thing combined with social stuff.

I think gamers were expecting something like hmm 'Showinb BF 3 on PS3 and then show it BF 4 on PS4'... Then not only point out the graphics update but especially point out that the extra power makes it possible to play with hundreds at same time ...gamers would have been blown away.

Oh well and a lot of people who were happy to see a publisher/dev come up and then were so dissapointed when they go of the stage.... Blizzard and Diablo III as an example =p.

By far, the best console announcement event ever, though they kinda ran out of steam toward the end.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Was underwhelming for the most part. They spent too much talking nonsense and social this and social that.
If you like social media, it must've been a brilliant show for you. However, I don't like social media at all and when games are concerned, playing on the couch with your friends is ALWAYS more fun than online. That's the biggest draw for me for console gaming. I would say all these extra's that you can play online makes the whole experience less social since people don't really come over anymore. blah. Anyway getting off-topic.

The hardware is nice, future proof i guess but nothing world shattering or innovative. The games looked ok, some looked great, but the only real gameplay came from Killzone which looked nice. But when they showed that game I was like 'oh no, it's this gen all over again' Here we go again with dozens of unimaginative shooters.

The best looking game was Deepdown from Capcom, other than that nothing really impressive. I'm sure things will look better in the future. The system has potential and the initial showing is descent but I only saw a very natural evolution of this gen, no risks taken by Sony.

Also they showed nothing using the touchpad on the controller, which was dissapointing. Looks very gimmicky for now, we'll see what the future brings. The controller itself looks comfortable.

Think for yourself, question authority

I thought it was awesome. gaming as we know it is a thing of the past now. its time to get with the times. the only disappointment was Square Enix.

and to the poster above me. They did show controller touch functionality. he was moving the in game camera during a real time event.

PS4 is gonna be expensive.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Remote play to Vita is a neat feature that mirrors what the WiiU does.

what I said before! Vita to be a controller out of war portable
Power ,but not sell well like Vita!
has not learned much from the mistakes of PS3
