Forums - Sony - Report: PS4 Heavily Integrated With Gaikai, YouTube, Social Networks

I'm really tied of people complaining about streaming games. It's going to be an optional service. Most people here never tired Gakia before Sony bought them. I tried streaming the witcher 2, while it did lag it wasn't unplayable and i was playing over a 3g connection. So while it will be bad for some it will be amazing for others.

youtube upload thing could be big if SONY manages to convey the value it in. All those lets players will love it.

I don't see that as being anything beyond a niche feature, personally...

Youtube on PS3 sucks but if SONY is able to fully integrate Youtube into PS4 with the same quality as youtube on computer I dont see why it will be niche. Not saying it will be a prime reason for a PS4 but why it would not be attractive to all those youngsters who use youtube daily is beyond me.

Sounds great.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

There needs to be an official PSN mobile app. It needs to be fully integrated into the next gen PSN so that you can check on your friends, send messages, and voice chat while on the go.

Also it should allow you to access the store so that you can set your PS4 to auto-download demos and make purchases.

I don't blame them for adding the streaming service. It might be a big deal in major cities, which are huge markets. The social aspect is a given, of course. The Youtube rumor corresponds perfectly with the other rumor about the PS4 allowing you to record the gameplay directly. That's a really smart move, if true.

Personally, though, all that stuff is just glitter. I just want to be able to play games on it. Give me a big HDD, an optical drive, a controller, and I'm good to go.

Can you access the Playstation web store?  It won't auto-DL, I don't think, but you can buy it add it to your DL list.

I'm honestly expecting Gaikai BC to be free. It allows them to market it better and makes a sticky situation well, less sticky. Gameplay recording and other features like that though will probably be in PS+ since people would want to pay for them. PS3 games on Vita could also be in PS+.

I have never tried but I would bet you can.  I think an all-in one mobile app would be far more useful and professional.

Example: during the whole iPhone iOS 6 debacle where there was no Google Maps app people could still go online to use Google Maps, but what people really wanted was a dedicated app.

That's all well and good as long as it's optional.

I honestly couldn't give two shits about sharing my 'achievements' (interesting choice of words there :P) with anyone on my facebook or non-existent twitter account. Youtube direct upload is something I could potentially use I suppose, but if the console shipped without it I wouldn't lose any sleep.

Current PS3 games over Gaikai, although impractical, at least is something I could probably get some mileage out of.

i just hope we can still downlaod PS+ games and access them through gaikai. its much better downloading the game than streaming it
