Forums - Gaming Discussion - Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeros Confirmed fo xbox 720/PS4

"Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes" is still well under production right now, and it looks like the development team is still in need of help as a new open position indicates.

According to a report from VG24/7 on Saturday, Kojima Productions will be on hand at this March's Game Developers Conference, and they are looking for help with the newest installment of the "Metal Gear Solid" franchise.

The positions they are apparently looking to fill include a wide range of project engineers who would be willing to work on "the latest 'Metal Gear Solid' targeted for high-end consoles and PC.”

In addition to this, Kojima Productions is looking for engineers who can "help develop next-gen game engine technology," using the already demonstrated FOX Engine.

It's interesting to note that there was no mention of the title needing to be developed for current generation systems, so one could infer that Kojima and company are not planning a port to theXbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Recently, "Metal Gear Solid" creator Hideo Kojima talked about what he plans to achieve with the new Fox Engine and how it may be involved with next-generation consoles.

"I can’t share much details about it yet, but the new engine is built towards not only having better visual quality, but also better functionality that will allow new kinds of gaming experiences, UI, playability, etc., and that is something we at Kojima Productions are working at, and some of which will be incorporated into 'Ground Zeroes.'

"In terms of technology, FOX Engine is very efficient and that’s one of our focus as well.

"We are continually trying to make it as efficient as possible, and with it, we can develop games in much shorter time period than ever possible before," Kojima said.

Kojima was then asked if he had seen the new trailer for "The Phantom Pain," what he thought about it and if he recognized any similarities between the character from the trailer and long-time "Metal Gear Solid" protagonist, Snake.

"Yes, yes I have. I really liked it.

"It was very visually appealing. The lighting was very good.

"Oh! [laughs] It ("The Phantom Pain's" character) might have been an inspiration," Kojima said.

Kojima said "Ground Zeroes" is in the works and fans should check out "Revengeance," while "Zeroes" is under development still.

"Well, we are working on 'Ground Zeroes' which will take a little more time. But there is Revengeance releasing next month, so why not play that while you wait for the new 'Metal Gear Solid,'" Kojima said.
