I'll likely continue to game mostly on PC and 3DS/Vita. I already bought a Wii U, and will almost certainly purchase a PS4. Microsoft will have a hard time selling me on a 720 - there would have to be an awful lot of moneyhatting with a stark contrast in the exclusives they've had in recent years.

Reasons why:

- I would have much to lose if i'd ever did that (all my friends, downloadables, achieves are associated to that one account)
- My favorite games series are on the Xbox aswell (such as Dark Souls, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Blazblue, The Witcher, Naruto Storm, Suda 51 games, Platinum Games games, etc)
- Sony's absorbing quite some losses from theirs business and lost major ground in the biggest markets, as much as i could sympathise with them, i'm not prepared to invest in any of their products without knowing how sucessefull it would turn out to be. As for Nintendo, I'll keep using their handhelds as ever. :)

I'd argue they already screwed up things this gen.  

They charge for online services despite the fact that Steam is free, PSN is free, and the WiiU online play is free. 

Despite charging for XBL Gold, they still plug up your startup menu with ads. 

The user interface on the 360 is gaudy, overstuffed, and confusing as hell. 

The Xbox 360 is, far and a way, the most glitchy, faulty console in history.  

you have to pay for Gold AS WELL if you want to use netflix or hulu or any other streaming service. 

They have so few quality exclusives compared to Sony and Nintendo.  

The only thing Microsoft HASN'T screwed up is leaching every nickel and dime from their devout fanbase.  No wonder the Xbox division is so lucrative.  I say screw that.  I'll get a Nextbox, but I do NOT plan on paying for XBL Gold.

Rare treated themselfs bad the moment the big names started to leave the company. And you can't possibly blame MS for not giving them any oportunities. They had many.

As for a bunch of japanese studios, i can't recall a single one that were that badly treated by MS. But how well has Sony been treating those studious? Must be really for dem Dragon Quest and Monster Hunters ship to Ninty. 

 

No one gives two fucks about Remedy.

Microsoft seems to be making an earnest effort to create new first-party software, so that's something to consider for those ready to leave it in the dust.

If Sony unveils Jak 4, that might do the trick.

Otherwise, I'm dying to play X. Once that comes out, Wii U all the way.

So far I'll stick to PC gaming, and eventually I'll get a WiiU for Nintendo games and some third party games.

As for the other consoles, I'll probably get one of them, but I still don't know which one.
