It may seem a little bulky from different angles but I'm betting it's most likely really comfy to hold in person.

maybe so. or maybe that this is still a prototype and that they just included a speaker on it from development reasons? anyways we will find out on the 20th..... 5 days left!

NED MOAR KAZATRS

i agree!! the kaz gifs have been hilarious ever since they started!! and they just keep getting better and better

if it doesn't have ping pong balls, then its clearly fake

lol why do people keep saying they like it better than the other prototype... its the exact same. Just different angle.

But at least is proves it was a headphone jack on bottom.

Still interested to see how the sell the touchpad and move implementation on this thing. I think the headphone jack/speaker/mic additions are great though.

Would be cool to integrate separate sound being sent to each controller when playing splitscreen. Maybe that's what the jack is for?

No they aren't. You have things that could look different due to perspective and then you have the undeniable ones like the speaker holes and the missing edge between the speaker and the PS button.

my question is, why add speakers to the controller? i get the head phones part because lets say your family asleep and you want to play at night, instead of muting you just plug in any headset, which is something awesome. but why the speakers?

Forget about waking up the family, what about having immersive experienc? headphones beat TV speakers, its just a bit anti social lol

In regards to the speaker it could either be very cool or very lame.

Very cool- voice recognition technology. It makes more sense then shouting to the ps eye on the otherside of the room. Why not have that functionality in the control where there is highten sensitivity to the actual person playing the game. not sure what the cost of including this in every controller would be...

Very lame- Midi sound feedback as seen in the wii remote -_-

Looks much better from this angle.

could simply be a microphone. Another possibility is that it's for stereoscopic sound, or some kind of extra sound like radio in metalgear...or in silent hill you can hear some things only from the controller, etc etc.... or playing from a alternative source than the tv??

ehh, doesnt add much if you have the head phones on now do they? my thought is that playing from an alternative source other than tv, but what is the alternative source? and why doesnt it have speakers?

The eyepad. Perhaps it can be used as a screen alternative to a tv?

Maybe could be like the speakers on a Wiimote and how that was implemented. It doesn't look like a mic...
