Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360 has been painful to watch hardware founder

honest man is honest

Around the Network

while i wish MS would have invested more in quality first party, i can't fault them in what they've done in their OS space. netflix especially is a huuuge value add and i'm happy MS did it and i'm happy sony and nintendo followed suit.

So do you also think he is honest when says Apple could kill sony and nintendo in the blink of an eye if they released a gaming console?

Were gonna keep seeing this type of stuff for a while. MS is too silent now on its plans

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

He raises some good points but is wrong on most of it. I agree that MS has coasted in some areas. I can't gripe about their commitment to games though, I have no shortage of good games on my 360 that aren't available on my Wii or PS3 thanks to MS.

To say the last 5 years have been painful though.. lol. Doesn't make any sense especially from a business and market angle that he is trying to play. So the project was started as a way to "trojan horse" into the living room. Ok. Thanks to the steps taken by MS this gen and their strategy regarding multimedia, they are closer than ever to that and are widely speculated to be revealing some sort of "OneBox" console for next gen that is basically the only box you will need in your living/entertainment room to replace all the boxes you have now. Sounds like they are on the right track.

He is also spot on about Kinect. MS got a huge, surely unexpected surge of sales and they focused way too much on the casual side of it. They really could have developed some good "core" games and brought in more customers but were too busy worrying about shitty Star Wars dance games and Tickle Me Elmo sims.
