just put in BF3 after not playing it for over a year.

Seriously??? WTF! I was bored of COD and wanted to quickly throw in BF3 and play for a few minutes but I'm stuck downloading this crap. 

1. It's taking almost an hour.

2. It's using up limited data for the month. 

3. Not convinient at all for someone who just wanted to go back and play a couple quick games. 

4. I've downloaded full games on PSN that have been quicker than this. 

what could possibly be 1942mb that theyre forcing me to download in order to play this game again?

Could be worse. My Starcraft version had a 4GB patch last month that increased the system requirements so it would no longer run on my laptop. Nothing about the game itself changed.

Why the hell is this EA's fault? Because they are patching the game and fixing glitches/bugs? Seriously quit complaining. It's your fault for not playing the game for over a year, you should have expected a large patch download. It should only take you like 15-20 minutes to DL it anyways I don't know what Wal-Mart connection you have that it takes an hour.

They've had like 3 expansions.

That's a big problem with games that need major patching for online play. It's a pain and takes out the spontaneity of jumping into a game you haven't played for any extended amount of time. It's not just an EA or DICE thing.

Faster than 77% of internet connections in Canada. It's seriously been about an hour now and still downloading...

and if the game was so bad that it needed a patch this big, I'm never buying another Battlefield game ever again... because they obviously screwed up and didn't do it right the first time around. 

Patches should never take this long to download. 

it's simple stuff like this which DICE screws up on that alienates their fanbase. As if it werent bad enough aready that they released the game with maps that were made for 64 players online, so most maps feel like a game of hide and seek in the desert. COD >> BF.

It took me 15 minutes to dl the Crysis 3 beta (1500mb) and this is what I get. Dafuq is wrong with your net bro? Also, you should expect a large dl file since you haven't played the game in over a year and there has been multiple expansion packs as well as bug/glitch fixes.

Because they also include bugs/glitch fixes in them.
