Forums - Gaming Discussion - Prediction: Presidential candidate will use Wii to pander for votes

It just came to me.

This is not a major one or one about sales but the vision just hit me.

I see a U.S. presidential candidate using Wii in a photo op, maybe at a prospective voter's house or at a public setting, in order to "humanize" themselves for public consumption.

For some reason I see Hillary Clinton doing it, don't know why.

At a photo op with supporters or with those hoped to be made into supporters a presidential candidate will play with the Wii.

It's gonna make a few rounds on the mass media airwaves like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc.

Could be after Wii Fit comes out in the states.

Comedy Central's Daily Show will snark on the event.

And I see the woman of the house if at a house having reddish-brown curly hair.

Just putting it down now while the vision's still fresh for the record.

Well if they are gonna buy a Wii they have to wait in line like everyone else.

I think it's more likely that they'll use the Wii in their campaign in a negative way -- several candidates are already calling for more/tighter regulation in video games.

Hillary Clinton tries to ban the Wiimote (no, not only the zapper)

She is soo going to play it...

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

On the other hand, mario now has 5 fingers on his other hand.

Reason: this was a double post.

I don't think that the Wii has that kind of mainstream appeal. And if it did, it may spell death for the people wanting third party "hardcore" games.

Exactly why I think she's or whatever presidential candidate is gonna be supportive of the Wii.

Stuff like http://mywiistory.com and http://wiifitchallenge.com and http://www.wiihealthy.com are exactly the antidote to those negative themes politicians scapegoat videogames for.

They'll unfairly scapegoat 360 & PS3 but Wii will be the Teflon Don of game consoles.

Wii Fit is CENTRAL to this turn in attitude from the politicians.

I see it so strongly that a politician will give Wii & Nintendo the face heat (ask madskillz about it, wrestling slang) or the good rub if you will in the process of trying to get all friend & family like with the voters.

A presidential candidate (most likely Mr. Hillary Clinton's wife—see what I did there?) will use the Wii as a photo op in this campaign.

Great. We are probably gonna see Hillary hopping on a wii fit board doing push ups and yoga while trying to be hip with the younger crowd.

Hilary thinks the Wii is evil.
