To be honest I just recently got into persona so i've beaten P3FES and JUST beat P4G like 4 days ago. I plan on buying 1 and 2 soon and from what i've heard they're pretty different from 3 and 4. As far as other SMT games I found a copy of Digital Devil Saga at my local gamestop a few days ago so its the only other SMT game i own for the moment. Devil Summoner is the one i'm on the lookout for.

I'm 7 hours into the game (Persona 3), and I'm on the wall about it.

I love some aspects of the game
-Beautiful Anime
-Different and Fun In Fight Gameply
-Persona Abilities
-Amazing Voice acting
-Great Dialogue during new sequences

but at the same time I absolutly hate others
-Lack of Direction in game and clear cut off points (can't progress in the tower until a specific day)
-Randomly generated levels
-Repetative tasks to build up social links and character stats
-Too Easy (I'm playing on hard with a female character, which is suppose to be harder).
-Lack of Character customizability (I can only build 3 stats, and not change them. Why can't I be a class clown, but still get good grades?) and purchased armor/avatar doesn't appear in game)
-Lack of Daily Task Options (Why can't I call people/ask them to hang out?)
-High School, I wish the characters were a bit older, so I don't view them as kids.

So I'm 50/50 about this game. I think a lot of the issues I have with this game were probably addressed in Persona 4, and I still love the game, but I don't understand how this is the best rated port to the PSP. Again, I still love it, mainly because it's different and pretty, but I think I most of the other games on the list would have been a better choice, and are better games

I hope it picks up.

How long of a game is this?

P.S. I think this is a great JRPG for beginner RPG players. My girlfriend might have loved this game when she was in high school.

tactics ogre, ff tactics, and jeanne d'arc are AMAZING GAMES. ff tactics one of my all time favorites

Its an 80 hour game so your not very far into it yet. The game does start to get interesting the further you go but I understand your complaints. I like that its a little more restricted in some aspects because then I feel like I'm not missing out on things but if your the kind of person that doesn't like to be constrained then it's probably frustrating. Also it probably helps that I'm only 18 and just graduated last year so I can relate to the stupid high school stuff lol.

Honestly my favorite part is the music, I think it has the greatest OST of all the games I've played. It fits the mood perfectly and I'll actually listen to it on youtube while I browse the web like I'm doing now lol.

btw the reason why i'm not directly replying is because it seems to not want to post anything when I try.
