lol.  They didn't.  PS2 and PS3 were all about visual advancements. 

I'm guessing some stupid phone app that lets you do something similar to what Miiverse does. Somethign phone related is my guess though. Everyone is doing phone shit.

To bad it will look like a total rip-off cause Nintendo is already making a miiverse app.

As for controller, not sure how they can win in this. Any tablet of some sort will be rip-off. A little touch screen on the dual shock will be seen as pointless gimmick and at best compared to dreamcast. Expand on motion and it better blow motion plus out of water or else its nothing new, or kinect.

They would have to really surpise me with something in order for it to look like anything new. Otherwise it will just be a copy of another thing plus more power.

How about they just make a console with reasonable improvements to performance, $299 or less and the focus on games and multiplayer/online service.

This is a good sign. Graphics have hit the point of diminishing returns so it's good to see Sony has acknowledged that and is looking to use tech in other ways to enhance the gaming experience.

Suddenly Feb 20th just became a whole lot more interesting.

I would love to be surprised and Sony come out with something revolutionary or inovative.  

But I can't think of anything new that a console could do that would not be compared to something already out.

Going from a grill to a toaster would be a horrific downgrade.
