I wish this would happen.  Sony will push the hardware and have the diverse stable of first party developers while Nintendo will release their beloved franchises and polish them to perfection.

Nintendo would be the last of them to fall. I don't think they would give Sony or MS the light of day.

Nintendo has said that if their hardware goes down, they're taking their software with them.

Hmm... I wouldn't mind having Mario and Halo on the same system. And you can be sure that the mobile Nintendo games would be pretty damn gimped compared to their current releases.
