VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

You guy realize that IGN is one the biggest if not the biggest video game website on the planet Right? What's all this irrelevant noise coming from?

I get where you're coming from but the Vita excuses have gone by. No one is defending it anymore, low sales are no longer a surprise, they are expected. Wii U sales are low at this point and you see many including me pointing it out, why? Because it is unexpected. Give it a month or two and people will stop pointing/laughing at Wii U sales either because they'll be better by then or because it's become a trend.

Another thing, don't compare the Wii U to PS3. Wii U will not get the level of support the PS3 got. Combine that with the fact that Nintendo consoles peak very early.....I think the Wii U doom and gloom are articles are not only justified but they are worth discussing. Nintendo's 1st party software alone isn't enough to make their console competiive. Just look at the Gamecube.

I think the Gamecube and XBox lost the gen before it even began.  The PS2 was a behemoth the likes of we'll never see again.

The PS3 and Wii U comparison is valid.  They both struggled in the early going.  However, you're right about the PS3 getting a lot of support.  You have the 360 to thank for that.

No, if anything, a large part of PS3s struggles is due to the Xbox 360.
I still say the PS3 and Wi U comparison is invalid. Sure they both struggled at first, but PS3's amazing 3rd party support combined with their 1st party efforts made for a competitive system. It's safe to say the Wii U won't have anywhere near the level of 3rd party support the PS3 had. We're already seeing signs of this. Where is Dead Space 3 for Wii U? DMC? Bioshock Infinite?

I agree with on this, most people wanted a ps3, it was hyped like crazy but seeing 360 games have better graphics, better controller and being 200$ cheaper really hurt the ps3, it' the price that hurt the ps3.

I think the guy totally hyped up the article when he tweeted that news was coming. There is just no way someone in his position didn't know fans would get excited about news specifically about a console, especially when the console is have a bit of a dry spell atm.

That being said I don't necessarily disagree with what he actually wrote. I think the Wii U will be just fine and the article seems to support that towards the end. But yeah, he shouldn't have tweeted about this article being the "very interesting" news lol.

TBH, that tweet wasn't meant to excite people. He said "interesting" Wii U news, not "exciting". From the way it was worded I knew it wouldn't be something big, I wouldn't have guessed it would be negative though.

I dunno, I mean what if Sonys thing on the 20th turns out to be negative news lol. Point is you shouldn't get peoples hopes up or even allude to 1 a simple article but 2 say "interesting" when ultimately the article is "WiiU is having a rought time atm, but it should get better"

Did you really just compare an official Sony PS4 teaser which is 100% guanrateed to be positive news, to some random IGN Journalist who said "interesting Wii U news tomorrow"?

Did you really just confirm a Sony PS4 teaser to some random IGN Journalist? Wow.....

You mean "compare" ? No lol I know it's a bit different but the principle is the same. You don't make a big deal out of nothing. Some would say that he didn't make a big deal out of it but apparently a lot of people think otherwise which is why so many are upset. He should have known better imo.

... you know, guys, if you read what he actually wrote, it's not a DOOM article.

Doesn't matter. This man has lost all credibility forever. Words he writes are no more than any other worthless digital filth clogging up the internet.

Don't take it personally. Wii U is struggling and Nintendo needs to do something about it. Articles will be written and doom and gloom will ensue.

You just enjoy your Wii U and don't let it bother you.

It's not his fault Nintendo fans get hyped so easily. If anything, this should be a learning experience. There isn't going to be some major announcement or huge Wii U exclusive that's announced, at least not from IGN. We've seen it before with Vita, people keep expecing some big games, some big announcement.....it never happens. We just set outselves up for failure.

If there is ever some big Wii U news, expect to see it in a Nintendo Direct. So you can get hyped for those.
