why does nintendo fans boycotting the title (previously excited) now that it is announced as multiplat???? that doesnt make sense.......... IT DOESNT!!!!!!

seriously its like throwing tantrums....

Because these nintendo fans are the same man children they accuse the HD people of being, but most are too much of an ass to realize it.

im a nintendo fan... but im happy with the announcement.... more people to enjoy this beautiful game...

And that is a sane, normal way to feel  Im sure alot more people are excited about the announcement (which is a positive thing).

I think for the Nintendo/Wii U fan, having this feather plucked from their hat makes it harder for them to argue the Wii U strengths over the PS360/other next gen systems.  In the land of the constant internet console (just brands in general) war, losing that kinda of ammo is tough, hence the tantrums.

Its odd, you would think for a forum/community, with the game being released on all consoles, everyone will get their inputs on what makes the game great and what they can improve on (since their will be more of a sample size) but of course the opposite is happening, people are digging their tenches in, boycotting companies who do not stay loyal (and bankrupting themselves in the process)

im pissed that its delayed... i feel sorry for the wii u owners... but not to the extent to actually boycott it...

Hm, try to look at it like this: The game was announced as an exclusive game for the WiiU (, supposed to be released at launch, then delayed to March 1st. Now, 20 days before the game is scheduled to release (normally the disks are already getting pressed and shipped at this point!) Ubisoft announces the game is delayed for ANOTHER 7 months(!) and no longer exclusive. Wouldn't you think the WiiU version is getting screwed over for the PS3/Xbox360 version? Wouldn't this thought make you angry?

Of course the announcements of boycott were overreactions (at least mine was), but if you also rule in the troll tweet by IGN can't you at least understand WHY we all overreacted?

You are happy that the game got delayed by 7 months? COME ON! I was prepared to buy the game in february due to lack of games, but come September, I'll be playing Wind Waker. Or GTA5. Or The Wonderful 101. Or The Last of Us. Or Luigis Mansion 2. Or Monster Hunter. I hope you see what I mean. Priorities.

Ubisoft had pretty much THE BEST spot for the game to shine and they throw it away. Not my fault.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

We all need to send letters to Ubisoft: DON'T PUNISH YOUR FANS!

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Yeah, this is rather a bad idea. They're going to be crowded out by Nintendo's Q3 push, or the PS360's last wave of big titles. A game that could've launched high profile on Wii U is going to fall into obscurity.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Its not the same thing at all, Bayonetta fans, have to plunk down 300+ to play a game in a series that they previously could play on a system they already own. WiiU fans dont have to do that, they just have to wait. YOu could argue that if you are a fan you would just buy the system and play the game, but lets not act like its the same thing. its a 300 dollar difference.

i think its the same thing.... if you read the twitter posts of "bayonneta fans"

its ridiculous... arent they suppose to be happy that there is even a bayonneta 2???

The heaviest meltdowns from the B2 spectacle didn't come from big Bayonetta fans, just fanboys being sore because they lost an ammo depot for their list warz.

Same can be said about this situation. If you really were interested in Rayman Legends then the multiplat announcement shouldn't matter much. Being angry about the delay is perfectly understandable though, but that's it.

Not sure why it's a huge loss. The original game (Origins), even with all of its ports across other platforms still only had very narrow appeal. However, the additional 7 month delay for the Wii U fanbase is a real slap in the face. Not unexpected though.

You don't get it. It's not about the multiplat. IT's about what comes with it, namely the delay. I had preordered this game, heck, I had already PAID for this game. But I cancelled since I am not paying up front for a game that's seven months away and fell down my list behind like 4 other games that have a higher priority for me.

People who want to see legends still release on Feb 26th need to tweet.

Well, this is an absolute kick in the ball for Wii-U in Q1. This & LEGO could've pulled the sales up in the west a bit, now it's all falling on LEGO's shoulders (although I have to admit, the latest trailer for that game makes me want to buy it. Looks really good).

Could see this coming though. Even if you use the (admittedly unreliable) figures here, it just seemed absurd that Ubisoft would abandon the two consoles on which it sold the most. I thought the gamepad features might have been the saving grace for it, but I see they found a workaround for that.

I understand the frustrations and wrath bringing and boycotting, but I'd hope that people who were genuinely excited for this game and not just buying it because it's a Wii-U exclusive will come round once they've calmed down. When Versus XIII inevitably gets announced as a multi-plat I'll curse and stomp my feet a bit, but then I'll realise I've been hyped about this game for years and I'll buy it no matter what platforms it's - or how (further!) delayed it is.

At the end of the day I like games. And although I have console and publisher loyalties, plus morals regarding treatment of consumers, quality games matters more to me at the end of the day.

my girlfriend was so pumped to play this after the demo (me too). This is bad news for Wii U owners indeed :(.
