I don't think KZ4 will happen.

The shooting in the game IS what I love about it. No FPS has that clunky-sluggish play, its just so awesome imho.

The difference between 2 and 3 in which I prefer 2 is mainly due to the sluggish-ness in terms of animation while being there -> lacks the recoil and sense of sluggyness during aim. (That as well as spawn grenades etc)

So what does this mean?
=>

In KZ2, you'd have times where you are next to 10 friendly soldiers, shooting at 10 enemy soldiers and because it takes rather a while to hit someone to death due to the slowness and recoil etc: You are in for a real epic battle that you can actually enjoy and its all about mastering that bouncy gun :'D

In KZ3 however, when you spot someone, they die.. fast.. a lá Call of Duty / Battlefield even. This kinda made me emo but at the same time: I now have two types of Killzone MPs I can play. One for the faster paced and the other for a more slower one. Best of both worlds basically :'P.

Anyhow:
For KZ4, I hope Visari is alive. Considering the daughter took her hand away in the opening of KZ3 (yet that could just mean she's disgusted due to Visari being about to bomb his own capital) and how they say "Sir we must move the ISA are here" when.. in KZ2, he didnt move, he was right there. And then there's the whole eye color shit and its true! It always zooms INTO the eye. Like they really point it out.

I think chances are we are just wishing theres more to the story than there really is. I guess time will tell with KZ4. What has me wondering is what GG said though:

"Originally Posted by IGN:

During an art process panel at GDC 2012, Guerrilla's Studio Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek said that the team -- which now includes the Sony Cambridge Studios working on Killzone Vita -- is simultaneously working on three different projects. There's the aforementioned Vita game, a new non-Killzone title, and continuing the franchise on the PlayStation 3."

So... Killzone Mercenary (check), New IP for PS4 probably (check), Continuing the franchise ON PS3? (Dafuq?)

As far as I'm concerned, the ending of Killzone 3 wrapped everything up. Everyone died. Everyone. The Helghan planet was nuked, so whats left?...Technically nothing. So, all that I can expect is that a whole new story is being pulled from Guerilla's ass a la Halo 4.

I also vote for the ability to play as Helghan.

the old guy that wanted to take over the HG army lived. 2:30

Stahl and Visari need to come back! Best villains evur

Killzone 4 is not a given. The comments about the a new game being in development came before Mercenaries was announced for Vita.

Also the sales for the franchise have dropped to very low standards, unless its a launch title or launch window game I don't see sony wanting to push support for this franchise too hard.

yea the main thing i like about KZ3 was the weapons. i didn't like the bot mode and how they changed the abilities so i didn't play multiplayer.

and the way KZ2 felt was just perfect. i hope they return to that style of plsy cause if not i won't be playing the multiplayer.

you know that 1 gun that shot those dart like things. that was my fav. gun. i tried my best to hold on to that gun. i couldn't use the shotgun on KS 2 nor 3.

if KZ4 does release on PS3 then that would be the perfect send off for the system.

I'm pretty excited about KZ4 next gen. I feel like something big is going to happen, I just don't know what. I wouldn't mind Sev as the main character if we could get rid of Rico but I honestly want someone new.

Hope there are hints in the Vita game.

Mmh...Only thing I remember from Kz3 is nail gun and how fun it was...So I want more interesting guns..And better story,I was expecting helghast to be more diffrent from humans...Sad..
Kz2 is still best shooter in this gen..And I liked the story also.

Take my love, take my land..

KZ3 single player campaign was very mediocre. And the characters are very forgettable. No charm and bunch of curse words.... The multiplayer was good, but not great. Overall KZ3 was a big step down from KZ2.

KZ4 needs to take a huge leap in all facets of the game. Sort of like Call of Duty 3 to Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.

That multiplayer bro! SO good, they just need to add more customization to loadouts.
