I don't' trust some random person on twitter. Seems like damage control.
He is extremely Microsoft biased as well.

You know this just because he claims things have changed?

I know this based on his previous comment on NeoGaf and Twitter.
The only thing I can say is... if the Durango was changed than how much? And when? Because to be released in November of this year Microsoft need to start the mass production of all the components at least six months before the release ( ~June).
At this time for a release in late 2013 both Sony and Microsft already closed the final specs.
I can't see any company making a desperate change in project just to be a little more powerful.

These leaks are supposed to be a year old. Also Kotaku is supposed to release brand new specs on the 720 soon so we will see.

slowmo said: You mean like dropping the planned 2x Cell processors in the PS3 late in the design phase and hastily buying a off the shelf GPU solution because you overestimated your chips performance and got the chip costs very wrong. Things change during the final design phases, especially when dealing with custom CPU/GPU builds. Obviously they'll not be redesigning a board but there can easily be tweaks added late into the project as they'll have set milestone dates for when parts must be finalized for manufacturing which allow some room for change until as late as possible. I'm not saying its likely to have happened but it is a possibility not to be dismissed imo. |
You know that not happened lol lol lol.
I've been saying the MS one will be a little faster for a year, because that's what S|A (the ORIGINAL source for both consoles being AMD based, two years ago) has been saying.
