Weird. I'd actually say Ratchet >> Sly >> Jak (as far as series go).

i loved Jak & Daxter but 2 was an annoying game to me. I've heard 3 is better though so maybe I should just suck it up to get to 3..

I like all 3 for different reasons (2 has stupid checkpoints at some points that piss me off and is probably my least favorite), but 3 is my favorite.

Jak 2 did have it's share of problems, mostly with how the travelling was handled. Jak 3 doesn't have these problems though I wouldn't say it was any better than 2.

This!! Im positive I and GoW fans will love it, just like Halo fans loved Halo 4. But from a critical acclaim and awards standpoint: It wouldn't shock me if God of War gets similar reception. I hope I am wrong. Maybe the MP will be fresh enough to save it. Im kinda glad Sony has their main franchises being made for PS4 atm. I just hope we can get past Ascension with it being well recieved. That's kinda the last franchise that has to transcend to PS4. ( Others being UC4, GT6, KZ4 & LBP3 ).

I can't really imagine God of War: Ascension getting 70's. Mid 80's is a more likely scenario than 70's. I'm hoping for higher though but we'll see in a little over a month. :)


By similar I meant similar to Halo 4 -> Under 90 (87 to be specific).

That is what i expect out of it, is a around an 88.  Which is still amazing this late in the generation for sequel or in this case prequel games.

If it performs 90+ however, then thats just nothing short of remarkable :P But yeah, I think going into it: I expect a mid-high 80's.

I missed this thread :s. Anyway that was expected otherwise they would not drop the price of the game.

Well it was announced a month ago that they will drop the price of the game....so yeah must be almost gold by then and they must have known that it is another not so perfect game.
