Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Your poll options are lacking.
I want the Wii U to have more power so that Nintendo can innovate and bring fresh hardcore gaming experiences to their fans all while looking great, similar to the GameCube. The matter of the fact is many game experiences on the PS4 will just not be possible on the Wii U, regardless of how talented Nintendo is, similar to how the Wii could not support many PS360 game experiences.
For first party not so much. Nintendo has that magic. If PS4/Next X are sufficiently more powerful than it, then for third party I say yes it does. Either way ... I'm comfortable with it being able to produce HD graphics and I like Nintendo games. I'll get one when it has more interesting (Nintendo) games and a price drop. PS4 will be my main machine. :D
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

The current leap from Wii to Wii U in terms of power are already giving Nintendo a tough time keeping up with development. And the Wii U is already being sold at a loss while some people say that it's too expensive.
It would have been a financial suicide to make the Wii U on par with PS4/Xbox 3.

It seems some people want all consoles to have the same power, same price and same games before they are satisfied. Where's the variety/options in that?
It's good to have a choice guys.
Less Console Wars, more Console Love?
Wii U Nintendo Network ID, Borode
XBOX Live ID, Borode
PC for curre-uh-"next gen" multi-plats. WiiU for Nintendo and Certain (mostly japanese)Console exclusives.
Do people really believe that the only benefit of more computational power is improved "graphics"? As someone who doesn't care if visual quality ever goes up from this generation, the ignorance of that idea kind of annoys me.
As far as the Wii U goes, we just have to wait and see. It's possible that osed125 is right and better development tools will mean the Wii U gets more multi-platform titles. That will be a good thing--unless people complain about the visual quality and refuse to buy "inferior ports", at which point those releases will probably dry up.
Regardless, until next gen multi-plats start to show up, it's just speculation either way.

Well I don't see a very significant improvement in AI compared to the power. Do we have what 10X better AI compared to 10 years ago?
Nothing will ever beat PvP.
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)
WiiU doesn't need to be as powerful for PS4/720 anymore than Wii or DS needed to match PS360/PSP.
WiiU however either needs a good hook (like the wiimote or a dual screen back when it was novel on DS) or a lower price. Right now it has neither. It's in the same boat as 3DS when it launched.
While WiiU is a loss leader, MS/Sony systems will also be and they'll take a greater loss. WiiU's price is inflated due to the cost of the Gamepad, meaning despite the PS4/720 having much better tech, they may not be more expensive or not much more expensive. MS also has it's 2yr XBL subscription model to reduce the price so with that it's possible the 720 will be as cheap, if not cheaper than WiiU when it launches.

I do have to agree with this. People always talk about better AI...but do we really notice? I mean if you compare some games to others the difference can sometimes be pretty obvious, but overall I sometimes find it hard to tell when a game have better AI....maybe that's just me though.
