On February 12th, Bandai Visual will be holding an event in Japan, where they discuss details of Ghost in the Shell: Arise, a new anime project based on the Ghost in the Shell franchise. According to an Anime News Network report, this event will be streamed worldwide in English.

Bandai Visual’s event will be 60 minutes in length and will include a promotional video for the anime, along with its opening movie and other announcements. Staff members from the production team will be in attendance as well.

You’ll be able to catch the Ghost in the Shell: Arise event via Bandai Visual’s Ghost in the Shell YouTube channel. It will take place at 9pm Tokyo time on February 12th.

Designs for the show will be based of the original work.

I wonder if Kenji Kamiyama is going to direct this show. EDIT I found Kazuchika Kise is Chief Director and Tow Ubukata as head writer from wikipedia. SAC and 2nd gig are tied with my favorite anime shows. As are the 2 movies directed by Oshii.

And the manga is my favorite manga (Though I haven't read much manga, so I can't say how it compares to others).

I actually like motoko, she appears to be less fan servicey... I know she's always been the way she is since the manga, I've read it. But it's always seemed a bit unecessary to me.

I'm superexcited. Hopefully, they don't screw it up.

Edit: Sorry about my disaster of writing, I was excited haha.

I believe I recently read Kenji Kamiya has nothing to do with this. I actually like Motoko's design alot too. Red's my favorite color.
