if i were MS i'd make a per-announcement around Feb 22nd for a show around the end of march. waiting all the way to E3 is, imo, too late so might as well cut into ps4 buzz.

on a related note, MS has been almost too quiet.  where are the leaks?  there is almost nothing out there compared to sony and wiiU back in the day.

Its something like this i think they might end up doing imo. Like you said i dont think they would want to leave it too long after Sony.

certainly would make sense to me.  2 months is plenty of time to put the logistics (venue, invites, ect.) together and i'm sure they've been working on the show itself for quite a while already.

I would do something on Feb 20 if I was MS to steal some of the spotlight from Sony. Even just hinting at the 720 on Feb 20 will have an effect.

Never, he just got overly excited when he read news about Sony not announcing the ps4 till after the MS and basically translated it to mean no ps4 till 2014. This should work for MS too right?

If I were MS I would dance around an announcement date. Start building hype for the new console, let Sony get scared and make them launch first so the MS guys have time to study the hardware and respond.
