who are we hating this time?

Because B slept with C even though B knows C is with A and when A found out he was angry and hurt with both B and C. Especially C since he didn't expect such betrayal and thus A has hated B ever since.
I'm mainly a Sony fan, but was primarily a Nintendo fan before this generation. I like Nintendo, love some of their first party games, but felt pretty burned by the Wii. It felt like while the others were going on to bigger and better things, Nintendo was going after soccer moms and primary school kids. They lost a chunk of their core this generation, which is being shown by the Wii U sales., but personally I see the Wii U as a big step in the right direction, especially after the last Direct. They are taking steps to win some of us back, and I hope they do. I definitely don't hate them, I just kind of hate the Wii.

I don't "hate" any company. In fact Wii U, NextBox and Ps4 are all contenders for my money. Whichever proves to have the best games and most value will get my money. My preference at the moment is Sony and I don't see myself switching though. Nintendo consoles don't have good 3rd party support and their 1st party isn't very exciting for me. With Microsoft it's the opposite. It's too similar to Playstation so I don't see why I should get that and pay for Xbox Live while I could get free online and PS+ on my PS3 and future PS4.
I hate B because it is the 2nd in the alphabet and there is a saying about how coming in 2nd makes you the number 1 loser.

I admire the honesty in this post.
It's the complete opposite for me, i like everything except sony.
isn't hate a bit strong,i don't see a difference in any of the fanbases they all have a bit of this and that, but it seems some obviously do
I like Sony because they offer great value and variety to the core gamer.
I dislike Microsoft because they dropped support for the Original Xbox almost instantly, because of the RROD, I am not fond of most of their first party titles, I do not like that they charge for online services and I despise their push for Kinect. I dislike the fans of Xbox because they often hate on the Playstation and are often very uninformed (not really on this site though, most Xbox fans here are good...all 3 of them)
I dislike Nintendo because I just don't like their products, nothing really against the company, some fans on the otherhand can be very frustrating...
I wouldn't say I hate the companies or their fans.

This post is very interesting to me. It's honest and understandable. It's also interesting that I started from the same place and went in a very different direction.
I also grew up with Nintendo, the NES and SNES. Subscribed to Nintendo Power and everything. However, starting with the PS1, how I felt about Nintendo gradually changed. People were making new gameplay experiences, they were making games with complex plots and characters, games with darker themes and more imginative worlds, and Nintendo ... wasn't. Nintendo was doing the same thing it always had. It felt like Nintendo had this arrogant position where they felt they owned gaming and they didn't HAVE to do anything new or different. It annoyed me because it felt like Nintendo was letting me go without a struggle. And that's what happened, FF7 finally pushed me to the PS1 and an entire new world spread out before me, one that I realized I liked better than Mario and platformers.
Now, I don't hate Nintendo and I hope the Wii U recovers, but there is a particular segment of Nintendo fans that I cannot stand. I think of them as the "Platformer Elite". They're the ones who act superior because, for some incomprehensible reason, they think liking Nintendo games makes you a better human being. They're the ones who stupidly rail against everything else as being for "violent teenagers". It's these people, more than anything else, that make me struggle with feelings of negitivity toward the Nintendo fan-base at times.
