Actually, they made more than $2.4 billion in 2007. The $2.4 billion only covers from April 01, 2007 to December 31, 2007.

No one buys PS3 for games though, Nintendo is always about gaming consoles so that is why people buy them, to get games.

December was the month where the wii was so supply constraint that you only got it bundled with at least 2 sometimes many more crappy games. Just to put this a bit into perspective

8:1 is pretty extreme, but it is just one month (and you can see that the overall figure is much lower). I wonder what the January figures will be, since supply of hardware is much more constrained than software due to diverted hardware shipments.
Primarily, though, I think this is due to the Wii finally having a robust software lineup at the end of 2007. I hope this wave of software sales will show third parties that Wii owners do, in fact, buy games.
