Forums - Microsoft - Everyone says MS needs to up the ante in response to PS+. Consider the ante upped

I pay about a dime a day for an online experience that blows PSN away in pretty much every category. Idk how much more they can give for my dollars but I would love to see it.

I agree wholeheartedly though with anyone who says that subscriptions you already pay someone else for, should not be locked away behind another subscription. That's why I made this thread. Major Nelson (if he is the one who actually updates the blog) should be ashamed of himself for writing out something so stupid as this blog update as if MS is actually doing some great service for gamers here.

But people drastically overrate the importance of these things in the overall scheme of things. I don't know of a single person in life or the Internets who pays their subscription just for Netflix or Internet Explorer. It's just fodder for people to argue about. Will make for great entertainment when Sony starts charging for online play too next gen.

It's like a pardox sandwhich. Completely reasonable and sensical content in the middle stuck in  between two slices of complete bull.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

How is live much better then psn? Does live have their own server for all multiplayer games? I have live and ps plus. I don't see the difference because both my Xbox and ps3 uses the same Internet connection. The only thing is different is party chat on live... But please tell me how it's Much better?

I like the Xbox but live is clearly a rip off. You pay for Internet service, then you pay for Netflix subscription, then on top of that you need to pay live gold to access your Internet and netflix which you already paid for. Netflix is not free, but accessing the Netflix apps should be free. I'm surprised no one file a law suit on microsoft for locking a free app that you paid a subscription to.

Yikes, upset PSN defenders in this thread in full force.

PSN defenders? Dude, this is a hilarious thread of ridiculous. We are just poking fun. Seems its the other side getting uppity now.

But if you want to go on and call out PS users than I can just call this a flame thread.

Don't ask him. He doesn't know. It will boil down to a few things that deal mostly with publishers but only after you logically fight him to not include astetical and hardware based reasons.

Arguing about online services just as the generation is about to end? Bwah! What's the point?

I thought this was supposed to be a fun thread where we could all agree that this is a move that's ironic on several levels. I don't care which banner you fly, this is funny.

This thread screams "Slow News Day" and "Let's stir the pot between Sony and MS for no reason". The desperation needs to stop.

Regardless, I'll be taking advantage of the 3 days with my very recent (like as of yesterday lol) Netflix subscription.

Sony should be quaking in their boots.

I can't believe what a fanboy nelson is, I wouldnt even string more than a sentence for something as useless as this.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Oh, oh, oh.  That's like... WIN!

Lol, this is hilarious. This seems like it would piss off more Silver players than it would sway them to pay for Gold.

MS better do something different for next gen, and fast. Sony is going to have a system that is going to be around the same price and launch around the same time. On top of that, they will have a free online experience (which will include cross game chat this time) that is on par with MS's paid service, and has the added benefit of PS+. Sony is not playing around next gen.
