Maybe they're looking to see how much the movie sells as an indicator for how a sequel will sell
I make videos that are sometimes funny I think?

Hells yeah, but ONLY if Ninja Theory is developing it

I was thinking something along those lines, but it would be very limited given it is direct to video. I'm also not happy with the story writer behind the title (or at least one of the main guys connected to it). I think it is the guy from Jason X (and a few other movies with questionable plots).
Either way, I hope the film is at least good and does well financially. I'll support it since I want to see a sequel. Do you have any preference in a developer? Do you want NT to continue the series?
EDIT here we go ...
"Fringe's Anna Torv will voice Nariko with Alfred Molina as King Bohan, and--Punisher himself--Thomas Jane as Loki. Todd Farmer, writer of Jason X, My Bloody Valentine and Drive Angry, is handling script duties, with Brad Foxhoven and David Wohl producing for Blockade."

Well since the same company is making the ratchet and clank movie i have a feeling it may turn into a side project to that movie, but I'll definetly support it and buy it. I think it would be handled well in SSM or NT, you?

Yea, I provided some detail in an edit above concerning the movies the writer did.
Oh yes I'm in agreement with those two options. SSM has the gameplay down for sure, and they can construct a decent story as well. I doubt they would want to take up the mantle though, so I'm unsure of any other options besides them in Sony's stable.
NT I'm in agreement with. They get a lot of flack, but I enjoyed their games. HS was decent, and Enslaved was a great title. I also liked DmC and thought it was their best work so far. My complain with their work has to do with length, bugs (not HS) and a few other minor issues, but overall they provide good stuff. I'd like to see their vision for HS2 since they were originally behind the series.

I loved Heavenly Sword. If Sony Santamonica makes the second one I am so in.

Even though I feel Heavenly Sword is a mediocre (6/10) game I think it was a decent enough foundation for Ninja Theory to build & improve upon to make a great sequel, so yes I would like Heavenly Sword 2 to exist. I would prefer Sony Santa Monica to make HS2 though so they can release a game in the genre before GoW IV as a taster, they're much better at gameplay, story, set-pieces, boss-fights, graphics... everything actually. I doubt they'd want to work on it though since they already have their new IP in production and work on GoW IV has almost definitely started.
I don't think the first Heavenly Sword even had much of a story, I mean, a girl uses a sword that kills mortal wielders and she kills the bad guy and dies at the end. It was so short and very shallow. Enslaved had an even worse story + weaker gameplay + poorer visuals and I haven't bothered with DmC yet to properly judge it (Waiting for a sub £10 price). DmC looks like it has the best gameplay NT have created, now if they combined that great gameplay with a compelling story and jaw-dropping visuals (stop using unreal engine NT!) then it could be great game by Ninja Theory and help them become a respected developer.
I think Ninja Theory deserves the chance to develop Heavenly Sword 2.
Who wants HS2 the most? PS Vita.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Yea I agree with SSM. GOW:A is one of my favorite games in the genre. I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign, and the multiplayer was a pleasant surprise. It can be addictive, especially with friends. As for their participation in HS2, I don't see them doing it. They already have GOW and they stated they intend to continue working on the series, and as you mentioned they have other projects in development. Also, something about SSM just tells me they’d rather take ownership of an IP they started as opposed to continuing an already established IP. Lending assistance is one thing, but continuing something is a totally different beast.
I also agree with you on the game's shortcomings. At the time of its release I gave it around 7 to 8 out of 10. It did not age well, however. Each of their games is flawed in my opinion, but I enjoyed HS despite those flaws. I'd like to see them do it because they have grown since that game. I disagree with you about Enslaved though, but I do so respectfully. Enslaved was a good shot in my opinion, and to me DmC was a much better game. My only real complaint with those two was the technical glitches and short length. I’m also not a fan of Unreal Engine with hack and slash games. The combat is a bit restrained in their games, but I’d be nitpicking if I continued. HS was VERY repetitive, and that quality diminished in their other games over time, so I’d like to see their future works.

game was just okay,It does'nt matter 2 me,but I doubt they'll make it. There's just not enough demand for it.
