4. The Last Of Us (3.6m on PS3 and in total)
5. Soul Sacrifice (3.4m on PSV and in total)
I'd take 1m from Soul Sacrifice and add it to TLOU.

Most of the predictions are reasonable, except for God Of War: Ascension and Soul Sacrifice. God Of War: Ascension selling 4.8 million this year would mean that it would sell more than all other GoW's lifetime sales, while there is much less hype for this one. Also there is no way that Soul Sacrifice is going to sell 3.4M on Vita this year.

LoU is a wildcard because it's a new IP but the pre-orders are very high and it will have legs like every PS exclusive. GoW has a much higher install base than GoW3 did although smaller pre-orders so I would agree there but it may be bundled come Christmas (although I think PSallstars is more likely). |
Install base doesn't matter. Metal Gear Solid 2 sold 6 million, it was released in 2001 on a console that had a 20 million* install base and Metal Gear Solid 3 sold 4 million on a 80 million* install base.

Hi guys, I just wanted to share my estimated sales for select titles in 2013 and what I think they might sell like. I would also like your estimations on the topic: 1. Grand Theft Auto 5 (12.4m on PS3, 11.5m on Xbox 360, 23.9m total) 2. Pokemon: X/Y (11.6m on 3DS and in total) 3. God Of War: Ascension (4.8m on PS3 and in total) 4. The Last Of Us (3.6m on PS3 and in total) 5. Soul Sacrifice (3.4m on PSV and in total) 6. Gears Of War: Judgement (2.9m on Xbox 360 and in total) 7. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (0.9m on PS3, 0.8m on Xbox 360, 1.7m in total) 8. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist (0.5m on PS3, 0.5m on Xbox 360, 0.2m on PC, 1.2m in total) 9. Killzone: Mercenary (1.1m on PSV and in total) 10. Rayman Legends (1.1m on Wii U and in total) So what do you think about the accuracy of my estimates? Also you can post your own estimates here.

LOL! I assume that's a typo on your part.

It is the best MGS game ever, it even walks all over MGS4. MGS fans are really really stupid for not buying it.

Pokemon: X/Y (5m on 3DS) 3. God of War: Ascension (4.0m on PS3) 4. Gears of War: Judgement (3.0m on Xbox 360) 5. The Last of Us (2.5m on PS3) 6. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (0.9m on PS3 / 0.7m on Xbox 360 / 1.6m in total) 7. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist (0.5m on PS3 / 1.0m on Xbox 360 / 1.5m in total) 8. Killzone: Mercenary (0.55m on PSV) 9. Rayman Legends (0.5m on Wii U) 10. Soul Sacrifice (???????Not a clue???????) |
I think GTA 5 will sell at least 30% more than 12.5m in 2013.
If Pokemon X/Y release simultaneously worldwide, I can see it doing 5m week ONE.
And I think The Last of Us will sell more than 3m.
MGR will easily sell more than that, at least more for the PS3 because of Japan, but I think the X360 version will sell more too.
I don´t want to offend you, it´s just my opinion and I think you`re underestimating some franchises :p

also has my favorite collection of boss battles ever. The sheer uniqueness that went into each one is incredible and the End may be my favorite boss battle ever (GoW has some right up there as well). I still remember the mindfucks and sheer brilliance of the story when I first played it and just being in awe especially after FINALLY beating the end after 45 minutes.
You expect God of War to suddenly double Gears of War sales even though there's no evidence of that in either franchises history?

pre-order numbers are drastically different than in the past and Gears is historically a more front loaded franchise
