Yayyyy, my favourite time of week.

So yeah, Demon Gaze & Monster Monpiece have both sold out of their initial shipments. Good, at least, because selling above expectations is always nice to hear.

It's a shame neither of them pushed any Vita hardware, although at least they may have helped in stabilizing the console (in fact, I think there's a minor increase if you count the average of Famitsu + Media Create). Same can't be said for Wii-U unfortunately, which is continuing to tumble. It's a shame, because the three pieces of software catering towards the Japanese are still selling pretty well. Could end up below 10k soon (or maybe Fist of North Star 2 will give it a boost, who knows).

Anyway, Animal Crossing + 3DS are still crazy :)

Yeah Monpiece was officially announced at 5,000 by Compile Heart. Based on the ratings numbers on PSN Demon Gaze has been put at over 10,000 downloads sold too. The download market for Vita is not to be underestimated...

Yep! I agree and maybe because it was sold out in retail that  some vita owners opt to buy it on PSN.

Anyway, this sales by Compile hearts standards is actually great and for Demon gaze as well.

Neither I remember questioning the numbers before when VGC is lower than the actual sales.

I'm still convinced VGChartz simply add M.Create + Famitsu together, divide by two, then either add or subtract a few hundred or so to make it look like they haven't just done this :P

Famitsu gave both games very good scores. Though we know by now that doesn't mean much.

But Compile heart and Kadokawa games doesn't have the luxury to place some cash. XD

It's already behind PSV's weekly pace, as you can see in the YOY comparison I posted above. I wouldn't bet against it. Nintendo owns Japan, eh?

Even with handhelds alone it's not immune. Remember the Virtual Boy? XD

Still, they have plenty of room to turn it around. This launch has been shit compared to their expectations, but there still aren't any big system sellers out for it yet. If Zelda and Smash don't push units, then we can start calling next of kin and making funeral arrangements.

That 100% sure happens on Senran Kagura and Tales of Hearts R release.

So Demon Gaze and Monster MonPiece are sold out... The Dengeki even has it that MonPiece sold something like 5000 further units digitally! But I find it extremely alarming that they still didn't move a single system :( I hope the hype for those games can create a boost for next week.

God & Paradox did utterly terrible (°_°')
