I got a question i've been wanting an answer to since forever. Every time theres a discussion about PSN and XboxLive, everybody says XBL is better PSN is so laggy and slow.

What i'm trying to say is that i've never experienced any constant lag on PSN just the regular online lag everyone gets on XBL, so it's really mind-boggling to hear that.

Is it true, Have you ever experienced any problem or anything on PSN?

Sure, but I think it has more to do with the game than the system, per se. To be honest, I think I've experienced lag with every PS3 game I've played online at some point or another, but some are worse than others ( Nina Gaiden Sigma 2, Borderlands, some random FPSs).

Just the occasional lag but that's present on Live as well. People just want to discredit the service that Sony is giving us, for free, because they have to pay for the same thing.

Aside from that one time PSN got hacked and went down for half a decade, nope. And since my PS3 almost never freezes up and both of my 360s constantly did, my online experience has been a lot better on PS3.

Sure. Worst thing is when you buy a game and it tries to download a patch which is ridiculously small (let's say 20 mb). And then it just doesn't work and says something like 34 hours left...Then I have to switch off the internet connection to play and try another day.

I'm also not able to get NAT-type 1 (which is the fastest) even though I configure my router and forward the ports exactly how the instructions say...

Oh yeah and don't forget the PSN-Gate...

Not any more than my friends 360. It's a pretty smooth experience actually.

It's not like you play over live or play over psn. You play on the games server. So any lag/disconnect would be from the game itself.

Never had a problem with it, always runs smooth.

My only issues are based off my internet, just like everyone else.

There is often lag on both services as many games rely on the hosts connection, if someone is hosting with terrible internet it doesn't matter what service your using the connection is going to be crap.

Apart from the PSN outage (which turned out to be a blessing as it broadened by horizons with singleplayer games) I have never had any unusual issues with the PSN.

Yes PSN is laggy as hell one day you'll download 2GB in 10 minutes the next it'll take hours to download a few hundred meg, haven't owned a Xbox for a few years but never really had lag with Xbox live.
