Who needs 128GB on their iPad? I haven't even used all 16 GB of mine!

| UncleScrooge said: Yeah, that's overpriced. Well, the $100 upgrade from 64gb to 128gb is actually alright. It's the 16gb to 32gb upgrade that's bugging me because that's $100 as well On a related note I miss the times when I could just use my Apple devices without people telling me left and right how stupid I am for owning them. It's totally blown out of proportion ("my phone / tablet / computer is 5% cooler than yours, you damn sheep!") |
Go to the "need a new phone" thread. I totally got beat up for that.

Haha, I'll take a look at it
I've always assumed that the reason companies like Apple and (now) Google don't allow expandable memory is so that they can overcharge for extra memory. I, for one, won't stand for it. At this point I'd rather get a dual core mid-range tablet with expandable storage for $350 than an cardless quad-core top of the line tablet for the same price. Why the hell should I have to spend extra when I already possess more than enough SD cards to meet my storage needs across multiple devices? Apple and Google can take their overpriced storage and shove it up their asses, and if Samsung ever follows suit, they can screw themselves too!
Well, I think that's enough ranting for one day.

That is utterly ridiculous, even for Apple.

So I guess we can say that Apple has gone downhill since Steve has died?
Every time someone complains about an apple product, apple releases that same product but with that one issue fixed for $200 more!

I "fixed" that for you.

No doubt. I feel that his fabled innovation skills are exaggerated greatly but he had charisma and passion and was perhaps the greatest salesman of the 2000's, most assuredly the best salesman in consumer electronics.
Never been a fan of him or Apple products but credit where credit is due; he was a monolith in the industry and I respect his accomplishments like anybody else's.

Google doesn't overcharge for extra memory. They want you to use cloud for storage purposes. They don't offer high storage options because of that.
I agree in general though, no SD card means no buy for me. I have been using Samsung products for this reason lately and I am interested in Xperia Z.
