What genre will dominate next gen based on their performance this gen?

FPS 51 49.51%

TPS 9 8.74%

Action/Adventure 11 10.68%

JRPG 11 10.68%

WRPG 13 12.62%

Music/Rhythm Games 1 0.97%

Sports 1 0.97%

Racing 2 1.94%

Fighting 1 0.97%

Motion Gaming 3 2.91%

Total:103

Still going with FPS. The difference between this gen and next gen is not as big as the gen vs last gen, due to the increase of online gaming. FPS games will still be the best sellers next gen.

MOBA

Dear God, please not. MOBA are just terrible IMO. Quite a lot of good JRPGs and RPGs have been announced or released lately though, I hope we will see more of them in the current gen :D

MOBAs patterned after the way FPS's are is a good start.  They decide to put $30 million into a campaign mode, with story, characters and add RPG elements to it (like in COD4), and then push this angle.  The core will be what you have with FPS's in that multiplayer online is what appeals the most.

MOBA has a decent shot of it.  Or you could end up having a mix of MOBA and FPS with a commander on top order human units around the map.

As for the voting, I don't think you can end up listing categories now, because what will come, if it does, will be its own thing and usually catch everyone off-guard.  It is arguably like Tower Defense games, which no one saw coming, which do their own thing, and are actually half of an RTS.
