HA! Depends on how you define "best", I suppose...

coud be if it attracks the right audience. aspiring dev's should be thier main focus which i'm sure it is, right along with hackers, and other ios dev's.

People who are excited for the Ouya: What games are you excited for? Or is it just the general concept?

Best graphics, most powerful specs. NEO GEO games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ0OZxHcDgE Sega Genesis games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00Pws9v9F88 For those of us who were actually alive and old enough to play video games at the time, NEO GEO was the console that all of us wanted, but couldn't afford. |
You're talking about horsepower. "Best" doesn't necessarily equate only to graphical sophistication. For instance, what use does a high-spec machine like the Vita have if there is so little software support? High-spec devices are merely expensive paper-weights without solid software support to back it up. Software sells hardware, not the other way around.
When speaking of the "best machine" on the market, it is more typical to be describing the amount of high-quality software available for the system that all other consoles pale in comparison to. Graphical superiority has never helped a system become a market leader. In fact, most of the time, lower-spec machines with more attractive software attract the most market share.

I must be the concept. It's gotta be. Unless there are millions of people chomping at the bit to play a five year-old DS re-release of Final Fantasy III. I find that hard to believe.
