I really don't know what they could do with that city. After so many companies left I doubt they would make an effort to even try to come back. And I don't blame them for the most part.
Then again, not all of Detroit looks like that. Just 99.9%.

Detroit just needs to find another industry to replace the loss of the auto manufacturers. To do that the city needs to make it so cheap to do business in Detroit that you'd be stupid to do business elsewhere.

Detroit depended on Auto Manufacturing and when we (as in the USA) started making cars over sea's Detroit when to hell, basically.

Get rid of the UAW and de-regulate the auto industry...there I just gave thousands of jobs back to Michigan!!

Hey Detroit should be paradise! It has been run totally by liberals for over the last 40 years! They wanted higher and higher taxes and more and more government. They wanted the union thugs to control the city and they got EXACTLY what they wanted.... Liberal paradise....

Think about it. What does the government do well or even close to what the private sector does? The answer is nothing. Then why would you ever want to have them run anything? Detroit is just the first. Next it will be some states (IL, CA and NY are close to bankruptcy).
