We are now coming to the end of this generation and Final Fantasy Versus XIII still has no release date and it has been absent from the big game shows for a couple of years now.  So, with the ps4 and nexbox just around the corner, Square will be faced with possibly releasing the game after new consoles have come out, transition to new systems, or cancel the game all together.  

IMO, if the game were to come out it would have to be transitioned to next gen consoles.  However, I don't know if Square will want to continue the XIII universe into the next gen.  Personally, I think this game will end up being canceled, but what do you guys think?  Is it still going to come out?

Versus 13 will not come out. It will be renamed to FFXV and released sometime next gen

Nope. They shifted all their workforce to Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns.

It will release eventually. If it ends up being a ps4 launch title, that would be pretty sweet.
