I had no idea that Square released it for Android.

I just picked it up yesterday. I'm only an hour in, but I must say that I'm pretty impressed with it thus far. Reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy V. Playing it on a tablet is beyond satisfying. Kinda wish that the menus weren't all touch based, but that's only a slight drawback.

Anyone else enjoying this game? The price is a bit steep, but if its anywhere near the length of a traditional Final Fantasy, its certainly a good price.

Well if you liked it, I'll have to give it a try then. I am busy bashing the other FF game on iOS: FF All da Bravest.

It's on droid? I may have to check into this.

Yep. $20 for the Android version with all of the episodes. Runs beyond flawlessly on my Nexus 7. Plays exactly like the SNES games.

MrStickBall, thanks. I didn't know anything about this game. Runs great on my EVO 4G LTE. If only the console FF games were like this. It gives me a glimmer of hope that SE will remember how to make a real FF game on consoles

is this game for free?

I think you can play a portion of the game for free - if you want the full game you have to pay for it, at least that is how it was last I checked the app store.

i might check this out then, whats weird is this is the first time ill be playing a final fantasy game

I wouldnt recommend this game as your first FF game imo.

I would go with some of the older ones. If you have a PS2 - try to find one of the PS1 or PS2 games or you can always emulate it if your PC can handle it (SNES/GBA/PSX/PS2 emulators).

im not a fan at ALL of final fantasy games nor have i ever been interested, my friend has 13 i think, its hard to keep up with the numbers. but im interested in this one because it has that retro style of games, which recently i have just been dying to play!

For iOS, that is correct. The prologue (which is about 1 and 1/2 hours) is free. The rest is $20 for the full game. For Android, you have to pay the $20 to play.

I'm on Chapter 1 right now, and it's still playing pretty good. It takes a lot of elements from Final Fantasy IV through VI - so the great SNES Final Fantasies. Depending on how you like them you'll like this.

For $20, and it being a faithful throwback.......Isn't a bad price. Paid way more for SNES copies of III (paid $70 when it came out in '94 I think).
